Because he wasn't drafted in his first draft eligible year. He was drafted as a 19 year old - Stripes77
Locke was offered an AHL contract back in October, but did not sign. He did no sign with the Sabres by June 1st and is now an unrestricted free agent |

they should make a rule, drop the gloves, then drop the helmet
if you drop the gloves and do not drop the helmet, 25 game suspension - homiedclown
no chance that would happen.. They don't want people taking their helmets off because they might fall during the fight and get concussed.. |

I don't like that
put someone with gringo and armia for the second line
put someone with ennis and girgens for the first line - homiedclown
I love it. Would much rather Armia be on a top line with hot players |

If I remember that was the exact reasoning for the rule. |

With all the crazy injuries and illnesses right now, you'd think they'd want to maintain some sort of chemistry with the guys. It makes more sense to me to put the guys that were called up and that play on a line together in Rochester together, as there's already chemistry between them. If they really wanted to, they could put Schaller on that same line since I'm sure he's gotten time with them in Rochester. |

Meh. Im not going to get all hung up on the chemistry that grigo and armia have built. If its there, then it wont go away. They need to spread these young guys out and put them with some NHL experienced players. You really want a whole line of players that barely have any NHL experience under their belts? |

I think the league prefers broken hands over cracked skulls after they take their helmets off and then fall and smack their melon on the ice. |

Honestly, it almost seems like they wrote 2 seasons because that season 2 finale could have been a good ending. |

Sure. Why not? Worst case scenario, they lose the game. Best case scenario, they do well. In a season like we're currently in, it really doesn't really matter to me either way. Even with the hot stretch we went on for over a month, we're back to 27th place. |

Yea I hear ya. I think they want to get a look at Armia on the top line though. Personally I have envisioned Armia playing with Ennis for some time now so im excited. |

then outlaw it all together
the average player is out longer for a broken hand then a concussion
if they have concussion issues, they should not drop the gloves in the first place anyways

I'm excited in general to see him play. It's got me more interested in the game. Many times this season I've had the games on, but am doing other things so it's mostly background noise. I'll be watching a bit more closely tonight. |

Makes you wonder how they feel about Grigo. This is 100% my opinion but I dont see him as a part of the future unless he really starts turning it up and scoring |

Pretty sure the line in Rochester was
Larsson-Grigorenko-Armia
At least it was for the two games I saw, but that was earlier in the season. Might have switched
