Campbell actually, to me, played really well on the defensive side of things. And one more after this year; and yes we have a buy out left.
- Panthers88

What I saw was typical Campbell in his own end; easily pushed off of the puck and unwilling to take a hit to make a play. Aren't you sick of watching that guy jump in the air and poke the puck along the side boards to the opposing team's point man. In the past I thought that his skating and PP abilities made up for his defensive shortcomings, but he was barely moving his legs and just looked gassed. It looks like Ekblad is the seasoned veteran sheltering a timid rookie.

Totally agree, he is a shell of his former self. But right now, unless we replace him, we need him out there. He's a leader and we have a ton of young guys. I was hoping that as we started to win he'd come around but I guess not. He definitely had a better game last night than most games.

I kind of wouldn't mind sitting Olsen in favor of Shane O'Brien, though. Olsen has really had a few rough games.

I am tired of the "he's a leader" crap from people. There's is enough of that on this team already. A leader is a guy does it all on the ice and stands up for teammates. Have you ever seen him do that? Not me

What I'm saying is we get rid of him and then who steps in? You can NOT replace Campbell with a Shane O'Brien. Between Gudbranson, Olsen, Kuli, and Ekblad we are very young on defense.

Campbell stinks. And regardless what anyone says here, he wanted out 2 seasons ago. They covered his ass. He's uninterested most times, and his slap shop couldn't hit the side of the BB&T Center.

Dude, out of three you are pawning off, Kreider was the best piece and we don't want that.

Oh, I agree most likely he's not going...he should though. Beef up this team with the scoring punch it needs. Ya think you're potting six goals here often?

Bottom line to all this trade talk is you'll never get anything good unless you give up something good. If you want a goal scorer you gotta give up someone good. That might mean huberdeau, gudbranson, barkov, bjustad. Please don't tell me Trocheck, Pirri, or Hayes, Boyes or fleishman.

No but you also can't sacrifice your future. If you think Barkov, Gudbranson, or Bjugstad are tradeable you're dreaming. We finally have a legit 1/2 center combination that I don't think we've ever had.

And look, you know Tallon wants to make improvements. You know he does. But at the same time we have to be a team who is competitive for a decade or longer, and not just for 2-3 seasons. The Wings are a prime example of what we should try to become. Same for Tampa.

Out of Barkov, Bjugstad, Gudbranson, and Huberdeau the only one I'd deal is Huberdeau.
