I agree. I like having Jhonas, but those 2 10 game losing streaks loom large. - Buffalo-Sabres
I would say 70% of those losses were do to the team leaving him high and dry. |

Fun 3rd period last night.
I would have loved to have been in the locker room after the 2nd to hear Coach Theo's rant.
Deslauries is growing on me, was neutral on him before the year...wanted to see what GMTM saw in him...I see it now...high compete / energy guy.
Stewie is starting to get in his groove...building his value. While I would love to keep him if we could count on that compete level every game (or nearly every game) ... But like Staff...his history just doesn't support it, and I don't believe in changing the leopards spots. - IonSabres
I'm liking Deslauriers play, he's really grown on me. A future line of him, Girgs and Lemieux would drive the opposition crazy. Or a Compher-Des-Lemieux line as well.
Stewart has picked up his play a bit, good enough to be moved to Boston at the deadline. Stafford's a dog, he totally sucks imo. We'll be lucky to get a 3rd rd pick for him. Can't wait for that stiff to leave.

Murray has a decision to make with regard to Enroth and Neuvirth. It would appear one of them will get moved. Murray likes taller goalies so not sure what he'll do with Enroth. Enroth reminds a lot of Roger Crozier.

I honestly think Stafford would be a perfect fit in Pittsburgh. Stewart has very little value unless he really steps it up. This will be organization 3 in 5 years to realize they can't get him motivated. When he gets moved it will be team 4 in 5 years.
Just an IMO.

I like yours and mh's comparisons.
Never even thought of Crozier or Vernon.
Excellent comparisons. |

I agree with this DD. I can see Stafford in Pitt for sure. Stewart will get us a mid rd pick or middle level prospect, nothing more. Boston seems to be the team most talked about for Stewart but I could also see Calgary or Vancouver showing interest. |

They have to have equal money going out as coming in. Figure out how to get Eriksson in a Stewart deal. |

If Murray could somehow pull a Stewart+ deal for Ericksson and we eat half of Stewart's salary for the remainder of the year, I'm down. Murray could pull it off and Chiarelli likes to wheel and deal. |

I remember pointing out the team played completely different when Miller was in net compared to Enroth. They left Enroth out to dry and can't expect to win by doing that. I remember stating it was Enroth that got us to the playoffs when Miller went down. I also said Enroth can be a #1 goalie in this league.
That said I also stated that a goalies job is to stop the puck. Something I was critical of Miller on. I will do the same with whomever they go with too. Sometimes you have to stand on your head and do what you're paid to do. Do that and not whine in the media then whomever they go with will get less criticism from my end. |

I think if Enroth is signed for a few years, he will be the starting goalie for the next sabres playoff game

Have I missed something? Is Boston really that eager to trade Ericksson? Not that I don't think it's a fair return, but a trade like that just doesn't seem to make much sense on the Bruins' end. |

staff to the hawks for bickell and a prospect/second rd pick

Eriksson's name has been bandied about in the rumor mill and his style of play doesn't fit in Boston. They're also in cap jail and moving him could give them cap relief. His NTC is voided due to the trade from Dallas. |

bruins will have roughly 18 mil to sign 11 players this off season
smith, krug and hamilton are 3 of those, which may take up at least 9 mil so the bruins may have to move a contract
this will be a problem has moving forward in 4 or 5 years when all the kids are up for their next deal |

Hope we can get a second for stewart and stafford. This years draft class and the fact that it might be the last year before big changes happen to the lottery might make a lot of teams big sellers. Could be a buyers market which would drive the cost down. |

There were rumbling of them not being happy with his play.
And to be fair they play a style of game that isn't the style to see him put up the type of points he did in Dallas. IMO Stewart will do better in their system than Eriksson does.
I would look to see what it would take to get him. Obviously Stewart would just be a piece. Like I said they have to have equal in and equal out at this point as they only have 1.77 in space. When you look at the roster, IMO Eriksson is the logical choice to be moved to create space. |

No doubt, Enroth shows the utmost professionalism. He also get over bad goals and bad games quickly. Miller, fans, teammates, coaches and media alike had to walk on eggshells around him. |

Fair enough, but if they're looking for him to be a salary dump, why would they take another roster player back? If Eriksson were to come here, it would be for picks or prospects. |
