No doubt, Enroth shows the utmost professionalism. He also get over bad goals and bad games quickly. Miller, fans, teammates, coaches and media alike had to walk on eggshells around him.
- Buffalo-Sabres

Big time players have big time personalities. That's just the way it goes. If Enroth is ever to get to a point where he is the undisputed "guy", that dynamic will change. Not that I'm defending Miller, but Enroth is still trying to prove himself, which makes a lot of difference when it comes to all the stuff outside the rink.

It bears repeating: the World Juniors are disheartening this year. Two as close to sure-fire future first ballot hall of famers are there for the taking, and the Sabres will most likely get neither of them.

staff to the hawks for bickell and a prospect/second rd pick

gives hawks cap relief moving forward and a second team pp winger

- homiedclown

Bickell wouldn't be the type of guy here as he is there.

He's 28(will be 29 in March) signed for 4 mil per for 2 more years and has a modified NTC(why a 3rd/4th line guy gets a NTC is beyond me).

A team should only be allowed to have a certain amount of guys with NTC/NMC. It should be for the top tier guys........only! I get these players want piece of mind and control over where they can be moved to but they should be happy they're collecting the money they are getting to play a game. There are far to many NTC/NMC in this league IMO.

This just isn't true at all.

Fair enough, but if they're looking for him to be a salary dump, why would they take another roster player back? If Eriksson were to come here, it would be for picks or prospects.
- buffalofan19

Buffalo has the room to eat half of Stewarts deal. 2 mil for him is easier to handle than 4 mil.

Like Homis said they have limited cap space for the guys that need to be re-upped in the offseason and moving Eriksson frees 4+ mil.

There are exceptions to every rule. And even Wayne wasn't perfect. He was one of the better ones, but not perfect.

He also got special treatment outside the rink and by media types as well, which he absolutely deserved, but still got nonetheless.

When they brought Nolan back for this season, I was expecting this team to over achieve and miss out on the top 2 picks

bruins will have roughly 18 mil to sign 11 players this off season

smith, krug and hamilton are 3 of those, which may take up at least 9 mil so the bruins may have to move a contract

this will be a problem has moving forward in 4 or 5 years when all the kids are up for their next deal

- homiedclown

Hamilton could easily get $4M, which makes their cap even more difficult.

As much as I like Marcus Foligno, a deal including him, Stewart (we eat 50%) and a prospect for Ericksson and Fraser could work. Going into next season, providing they don't re-sign Stewart, they would save $2.4M on the cap alone in that deal. Just a thought.

Something he will always have to do in this league IMO.

Shorter goalies will always have to look over their shoulders in the new NHL. It seems most teams are looking for that 6-4+ guy to put back there.

The thing is, I expect this team to fade in starting in mid to late January and throughout most of the rest of the year. They're simply not deep enough to maintain this for a while. It just won't be enough. That being said, this win did just snap a 4 game losing streak.

Murray has a decision to make with regard to Enroth and Neuvirth. It would appear one of them will get moved. Murray likes taller goalies so not sure what he'll do with Enroth. Enroth reminds a lot of Roger Crozier.
- mhp

M that is really funny you say that, as I was thinking the same rhino the other day.
I would like to see Nuevirth get a couple of games in a row to show what he has as well...seems he, like Enroth, is a bit of a streaky goalie...needs playing time to get in his groove.

As far as Stewie goes, I wish they would trade him outside the division. I don't want him on the Bruins with thecheech Lucic. I would hate to play against those two monsters.

I'm not going to drag this out, but the notion that Wayne Gretzky didn't expect to be treated differently than his peers in many situations is laughable. He did expect it, and he got it, because he 100% deserved it.

No question they could. Moving guys like Eriksson and possibly Kelly seem like a given. They might even need to look at Marchand as well. They are in major cap hell and Chiarelli knows it and will wheel and deal.

I can see a Buff-Boston deal here.

You're too hung up on being right. Wayne Gretzky has nothing to do with Enroth or Miller. Totally different class of player.
