So whats the deal with Berube? Is he trying to yell skill into the players? - PhillySportsGuy
Somebody told him he was up the creek without a paddle, so he got himself one of these:

Except according to reports he lashed out at everyone today during practice. - opeth_pa
This really sounds like he was read the riot act by upper management in the last 24 hours. He doesn't just blow up after one loss after the team put a nice little run together.
I don't expect him to make it through the season. He's been doing some really questionable stuff as of late. |

I think it was probably a lackluster performance coming out of a break, he had some valid issues about the way the team played. Giroux took a dumb penalty and a careless one, might as well make an example out of him today.
Got to walk a fine line, though. If he loses Giroux, either by pissing him off and making him not trust him or by simple incompetence, he's through as coach here. |

I'd sooner look at DeBoer personally. I think he has a good system and had a very rough roster to deal with over the last two seasons. What he got out of that roster in 2012 was basically sorcery behind the bench.
With Berube running out a PP unit with a forward line that consisted of RJ, Vinny, and Nick Schultz I honestly wouldn't mind Bylsma at this point either. |

Part of me says his success stems from their wonderful core of players between Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Staal, and Fleury.
And then I take a look at what he did when all of those players were in and out of the lineup.

can anyone explain why #63 on the jets chases the puck by going around the net there? makes absolutely zero sense. |

My guess is he saw Voracek coming and figured Byfuglien would shrug off the tiny Giorux and reverse the puck. Hard to expect Giroux to be able to bump a guy 85 lbs and 6 inches bigger off the puck |

I think the best part about the Pierre gif is that you know he was the one who proposed the idea of skating in |
