Unlucky and untalented play into it. And Sid isn't playing bad, he just isn't producing like we are used to.

I also don't think there is ever a good time for a bad stretch like this, but you have to deal with it accordingly. Sid will be fine.

My thoughts exactly.

However, I will say he occasionally shows his frustration by doing some unwise things. Some of those behind the back blind passes aren't good. Needs to stop.

I don't even think it was the brand of hockey they were playing, I think it was more the roster they had going into the playoffs. They could roll all 4 lines without worrying too much, that hasn't been the case the last few years... they're bottom 6 has been atrocious for a while now (except for the year they had Morrow, Iginla, Murray.. they loaded up that year and fell flat vs. the Bruins). I will say, a healthy Pens team this year is a slight upgrade in bottom 6, and I would like to think there are moves to be made before the deadline to help upgrade even more.

Exactly. People don't understand we NEED Sutter. Everyone and their grandmas want to ship him out for a top 6 winger like Perron. We need to be able to roll more than 2 lines...

We are a great team when healthy, but we are a forward away from winning the cup this year.

Edit: Perron would be nice.. I would definitely consider one of our d prospects and a 2nd + next years third or something like that.

Heatley on waivers. 1mill contract. Is he worth a try at this point? I say yes.

We're lucky we're playing the wheelchair Devils tonight.

At least we should be getting Martin back soon, and BB's gotta be close to returning at this point. Mumps shouldn't keep Downie down for too too long either.

Don't worry guys. We'll get there soon

Apparently Jagr says he would be happy to stay in NJ but wouldn't have a problem being traded. "It's up to Lou, whatever he wants."

Seems to me he's saying yes I would like to be traded

Figured I'd be late with the waiver pick up theory... heatley and paajarvi > farnham ebbett and sill

But I like always pens sit in 1st place... figure njd or edm claimsheatley and doubt paajarvi gets claimed

Wait is Magnus on waivers? I see no reason not to claim him given our depth at forward.

1.2 cap hit. Very stomachable. This is the kind of serviceable top 6 guy for cheap everyone's been wanting. He's just been stuck in situations where forward depth has gotten the better of him his whole career. He'd do admirably on Sid or Geno's wing.

I think he is a third line guy at best, but I think he is a better pick up than Heatley
