a Home game after they played TB and the Habs played NJ, take the two and move on. If they can bottle it then I hope they do. PK played real well tonight and I'm sorry that Prust didn't kick the poop out of Downie at the end. The guy is a hollow tube.

he's been better the last few games. previous seasons he would lead the league (+/-) in hits. not this season. but the past week he hit a lot more, retunring to his former style of play.

exactly. Desharnais was poop but is looking good where he is now. These things tend to level out where they deserve to be. Eller had a good game tonight, but we only hear the call out. What I'm saying is even if its only a blue moon give the lads credit when they earn it. Emelin, Eller, DD and Gilbert were fine tonight.

I haven't. My problem remains having Gilbert/Emelin as a second pair. The Habs are currently first in the east. They can't expect to continue having as much success with those two on the 2nd pair. They are a disaster in their own end. I'm sure most can agree with this.

On the bright side, Beaulieu is playing extremely well. I hope he's not taken out of the lineup after one bad game. Let the kid play.

Pretty sure the 2nd pair is Beaulieu and Gonchar. Gilbert and Emelin is the third pair.

Beaulieu is playing great because the coach gave him a chance. I'm sure the same thing would happen with Tinordi. Problem is that Beaulieu has a good vet to help him out. Can Gilbert be that guy for Tinordi? Don't think so.

edit : time on ice was about the same for Gilbert/Emelin and Beaulieu/Gonchar.

Emelin tends to play well against good teams, his issue is the other 50 games where he seems to lack focus often

Seriously, I think it is pretty much all they can do right now, hoping it will have a big impact.

No Kadri or Holland, basically their 2nd/3rd line centres, he has an excuse.

Stop with the excuses, Eric. This team will never achieve perfection on defense. It is possibly one of the worst group of defensemen I have ever seen. What a disaster!

Worst defensive squad in Habs' history. The team sits first in the East and you still hear complains. How (frank)in' sad is it...

penit and red will make fun of them regardless and rightfully so.

they've got some obvious flaws but overall they find a way. We thrive on misery I guess.
