Disapointing tournament for De La Rose, will ever be more than a defensive foward?
- Fredobface

Indeed. I really wasn't impressed with his play. Nylander looked great, except yesterday when it really mattered. Perfect fit for the Leafs.

Hudon, Andrigheto and Reway all seem to be the exact same player.
- Fredobface

Bergevin probably wasn't impressed by Reway's compete level last night.

He's so small...
- Pecafan Fan

The too small argument is getting a bit old. There is more and more top line player under 6'0. Also, the point leader in the AHL is pretty small no? Reway's problem is his skating and his attitude, what a prima dona soab.

Who ever said that advanced stats were meant to be the only tool to evaluate a player?
- Pecafan Fan

I'm not sure anybody went out publicly claiming such a thing, but sometimes, you get the feeling some of the fancystats lads rely a bit too much on paper and not enough on viewings.

Nothing against the advanced stats honestly, it's a tool every GM should be using. But sometimes you have to dig a bit deeper than shot attempts at 5v5 to really evaluate the impact a player can have on your team.

Hockey is played by humans, not robots.

They're actually very different. Hudon is more of a two-way way, high IQ guy. Andrighetto's a speedster that make plays at high speed and Reway is the most talented of the 3, but has a poopty attitude unlike the two others.

Reway could become the best of the 3, but he has a long way to go. So many turnovers and poor play decisions.

He's had a pretty average tournament overall.

Glad he has such paragons to play with like.

Does his goalie and a shutdown defenseman Cernak count?

Average indeed. He had no support, but he didn't try enough to create things I felt, he was too often getting rid of the puck or trying an impossible pass. He did produce, but I expected him to.

Russia doesn't have a good team Stormey, they won agaisnt Canada but were outshot 53-22.

They went to shotouts agaisnt Denmark, lost to the Tcheqs ect.. I predict a blowout.

Sure but you will never see all 3 of them in a habs uni. I'm not a Reway fan but Andrighetto plays with an edge and he can dangle in limited areas. As for Hudon, I won't lie, i never expected him to fare this well in his first AHL season.
