A certain amount of americans are really only into this sport for the violence/fighting. - Sabresfan-365

Sabre post in Garth's thread that stafford trade is imminent. I think it's a sick joke but I wouldn't be surprised if stafford is the first out the door. Can't imagine not long after Stewart will follow him out the door. Gotta ensure a top 3 pick this year preferably top 2. I would not cry if we got Hanifin/Kylington though due to lack of d-man depth |

he's done very well in the ahl, maybe part of a bigger deal later on (they did originally move him in that deal for Iggy).
Stafford for a 2nd and 3rd some salary retained or a blekh contract coming the other way. |

Wouldn't the bruins need to add salary to that ? And pretty sure they value stewart instead |

Yea we'd have to retain the max and probably take a bad contract back. Not really worth it. |

I think with the oilers claiming Campbell, they would be under the cap if sabres retained the max allowed |

The oilers claimed Matt frazier I believe. Unless Campbell was placed on waivers as well and I'm unaware |

Yea forgot he was a bruin.
I'll guess Canucks or Jackets for Stafford. |

if it goes down, my guess is a team we are not expecting
pens lost 4 straight, I'll say them, bruins and preds

Could be. I picked those two because he'd be a buy low option and clear upgrade over who's playing 2nd line rw for them right now (Dorsett and Tropp respectively) |

One of the chips we have is the ability to take on a bad contract/crappy player for the rest of the year. We did this when we traded for Regher (Kotalik). I would be shocked if Uncle Terry wasn't trying to use Pegulacash and cap space to upgrade the return.

I get the population difference between Canada and the US, but this seems like a lot of bragging for something not so exceptional?
Gino Reda @GinoRedaTSN 16h16 hours ago
Cnd's love their World Jr. Audience for Can/Svk boxing day avg over 3 million, #1 hockey audience for any game so far in the 14-15 season
I'm not trying to disparage them, so I hope no one takes offense, but that's "only" 10% of their population. The Super Bowl gets nearly 1/3 of the US population watching.
Am I missing something? (BTW, I just looked up baseball and the World Series "only" gets about 12-16M viewers on average nowadays - how low it's fallen) |

Sounds more like a TSN guy pumping up his station and trying to hide it behind some sort of national pride. Personally, I hope the ratings in Canada for the game today are a bit disappointing up there, so that they never show a game like this as a matinee ever again. |
