First off I dont think Spector was suggesting to send BOTH pysyk and Myers to edm for hall. He was just naming options on defense that could be included. Second I could care less what spector says and in no way is he shaping my opinion on Myers. The only thing I said was That Myers will not be missed if he is traded. Maybe I should have added- "IMO" - MCGUIZZY
The Oliers have wanted Psysk since we drafted him, just like Stafford, they have wanted him as well and we grabbed him before they picked that year and they took Dubnyk I think it was. |

stafford and pysyk for hall then |
|
|
|
I do know that Oilers want Psysk and they have for a while now and I also know that Myers is the D man they are looking for, a top pairing young D man and Myers is that.
I also know 1 deal for Myers has been turned down already this year and 1 some what offer last year at the trade deadline. Going to have to give up Myers to get Hall, you won't get Hall for Psysk and player plus a pick, won't happen. - SABRES 89
Yes, everything you say is correct. I mentioned the late November trade that was nixed. That directly involved Myers, another high end component and 1 of the 1st rounders we have.
Murray walked away from the table on that one, and that is my point on this. He won't make rash moves. Even you have to admit, 4 to 5 components, a couple of them D corps related while we still are addressing the D depth situation, is a steep price to pay. I've heard Mr. Black himself state that Defense is at a premium in this league right now, it would be remiss of this organization to squander valued resources. That says volumes to me when I hear that. |

Well considering he played for the Oil kings, they did have a pretty good look at him as he went through Juniors. |

This of course is the Oilers problem. Unwillingness to be reasonable or daring to change. It seems their fans are also content to sit on heaps of world class forward talent whilst going nowhere. |

From last blog...
That's why its number one on my wish list.
Not sure if the horrendous guard play led to Woods poor play but he needs to play better also. I heard he was at his lightest he has ever played the position at but has more muscle and less fat.
He better think about putting a few pounds back on to push that line the other way instead of always caving in.
Anyone notice the Bills never tried a QB sneak on a 4th and 1 or even 3rd and 1 all season?
One reason, they didn't trust that interior line to get it done.
1st toss sweep I seen was this past Sunday as well(which was effective) and is just one of the reasons why I want Hackett outta here.
It took him all season to figure out he couldn't run in between the tackles with that interior line and finally utilized a toss sweep that I had been screaming for all season long. |

I'm not a firm believer in what Black has to say, he's more of a PR guy IMO. When you need a young scoring winger like Hall, you would have to part with Myers to get " that". I know they aren't sold on Gringo and Armia as of yet. |

Mr. Murray, Mr. Nolan and not least of all Mr. Black disagree with you.
But it's Mr. Murray whom you should pay attention to in all honesty. Any player can be had, if the price is met. And the prices at FNC for players these days, well, let's just say there are no coupons, no black friday prices and no inventory clearance sales in the foreseeable future.
Spector is grasping, as many writers often do. Moves will be made, but they will be made on Mr. Murray's terms. This much you can take to the bank. - TWGsabres

Correct that's why he says trading away 2 of them for Hall wouldn't be the right thing to do, according to Ted Black. |

Ted Black is a puppet. He has zero influence or impact on what Murray does. Also I dont think its "squandering" resources if a trade results in a top notch player of a different position. |

While I listen to many fans and what they say and think about the organization, I think many of the fans don't fully understand the individuals that Mr. Pegula has around him. Ted Black, contrary to many fans thoughts on him, is no puppet. There is sound reasoning as to why himself and Sawyer are here and it goes beyond mere marketing of the brand.
As for personnel decisions, those rest solely on the shoulders of Mr. Murray. There is a reason the owner, the President of Hockey Operations, the GM and coach have meetings, and it isn't to talk about the spread layed out for brunch that day. |

I wouldn't
they really need scoring and if the group of young d men can't produce top 4 results, trade for one
The d men take longer to develop and I am tired of waiting
