Or straight to the NHL?
- MCGUIZZY

If he is good enough yes. If not, he can go to Rochester. Doesn't have to stay in school and can turn pro.

Only way he leaves school early is if it's to play and stay in the NHL.

Just an IMO.

Very small image (taken from a Yost article), but look at that team on the far right....yikes.

2018-19: -$458,333
2019-20: $791,667
2020-21: $791,667

The rumored asking price for hodgson was a young player, a pick, and a good prospect. Not sure what to make of that. Im all for holding out for the best deal, but thats probably not gonna happen. Probably a cap dump and a 2nd would be reasonable. Cant really even add him as a sweetener because his contract doesnt make him all that sweet. Youre selling low either way, but he doesnt fit here, and if you keep him here next year to try to get him to turn it around, his buyout doubles because he will be 26. I can see murray taking less for him because he is on the clock.

There is no way he gets bought out. He is a young center (ok, winger) that has had some success putting up numbers in the past. In a league short on top 6 players someone will roll the dice. If we have to take back a bad short-term contract to make it happen, so be it.

It just sucks that Enroth and Girg's play is giving people the false sense that this team isn't terrible right now. And worse, something other than the big prize at the end of this mess.

the girgens line is producing

this is something we have not seen since Lindy rolled 3 lines

there is the hope

special teams are brutal and on any given night the second and third line are non existent

I'm not say he will or won't. Someone asked if Murray hated his game and contract enough to buy him out?

I just posted what that buyout would look like.

Yup, I get that. Murray (and anyone else with a pair of eyes) clearly hates his game enough to try to move him.

I think part of the reason why he hasn't been moved is that he isn't moved is he isn't scoring a lick and that helps the bigger goal of the season. While I've been completely unimpressed by Grigorenko and Larrson there are surely people in Rochester that can be more useful than Hodgson.

sabres are 27th in pk
30th in pp (big gap below 29)

fix those 2 areas and the rebuild moves sooner rather than later

there are only 3 options
Gringo, Larrson and Armia

your unimpressed with 2 of the only viable options

the rochester lineup has little nhl talent, if any, once you remove a few bodies from the equation

Yes.
Great player. Scores. Young. Fast. Everything we are lacking.

once coho got paid, his game fell off

just like roy, vanek, staff, myers, hecht, connolly, max, kotalick, goose, leino

it's a character flaw, and I have no use for any of them moving forward
