Tim Murray has said it more than a few times.Ask ask 89 and TWGsabres who have direct connections to Sabres management. Also I happen to know scouts with two other organizations that say the same thing. It is rare to find a man that big that can skate that well to quote one of them.

Nice! Hopefully Murray keeps him then. Him ristolainen and zads are some big pieces on that backend for the next decade. Sidenote- at least Fasching is getting some love in this tournament. Great trade for Murray.

Very poor coaching down the stretch. Awful PP too many bad penalties and everyone at the end started doing their own thing. They dominated this game Corsi wise held the puck longer just didn't do the little things that winners need to do

It's pretty much common sense. A 24 year old with that kind of size and skill is always going to a very coveted commodity, no matter how well or poorly playing. The question is whether or not he can put it all together to be an absolute stud. He regressed after his rookie year, but appears to be getting back to the level he's had during his rookie year. The question is, how good is that really?

In all seriousness, though, while the coaching left a lot to be desired, they just had too few players that really knew how to win. There were plays there to be made, and they just didn't make them. Even Dylan Larkin, who we all praised, and rightfully so, seemed to have come unglued after that penalty in the first.

I think Sam has amazing ice smarts. When you watch him his positioning seems like he is a great chess player. He is always a few moves ahead of everyone else.
