No...in fact I have argued your point that it won't be "doomsday" if we end up drafting 3 or 4.
My point is that with one of them, you can count on us winning the cup within 3-6 years.
It's an extreme opinion but I believe it - sbroads24
Sabres will be a contender in 3 years even if they manage to not receive a top 5 pick this season(E4-5) |

I am of the opinion they will win one with any of the 1st 6 or 7 guys going in this draft.
Obviously McEichel makes that faster IMO. But the 4 to 5 guys going after are elite talent. |

Frank Reich, Rex Ryan, Dan Quinn, Darrell Bevell, Mike Shanahan, Josh McDaniels..
They HAVE to bring in someone with an offensive mind. I don't know much about Bevell but I think he's really installed a nice system for Russell Wilson. (Granted it doesn't hurt having Russell Wilson as your QB). Looks like he can work with young QB's and can think outside the box offensively. Really fun offense to watch in Seattle. |

I think Gase is being interviewed.

Hopefully, if we miss out on McEichel and end up with Marnifin (Hanifer?), then in 3-6 years (thats a long time) we have a cup I can say "see". And vice versa. |

Agreed. The only thing I can agree about McEichel is that it might accelerate the timeline of our window opening. I have no doubts that we cant get there without them. |

Yep.
I don't know anything about him but he has that Peyton Manning thing going for him. Same with McDaniels/Brady. |

Ristolainen.
Zadorov.
Girgensons.
We are ACTUALLY seeing development. I wouldnt be able to stomach seasons like this without actually seeing development, and then missing out on a top pick. Not landing a top 3 pick at the expense of our young guys actually developing is okay in my book. |

Add in one of Hanifin, Kylington, Strome, Marner, or Zacha along with Reinhart, Lemieux, Fasching, Grigorenko, Armia, etc......
We will be fine.
I am of the opinion they will bring in a young elite forward via trade which will tie it all together. |

Fine is a perfect way to describe it.
We deserve a bonafide elite player in this city.
Something we haven't had since Hasek |

Because zero players in the most loaded prospect pool in the NHL will develop and help turn this team around?
We've watched Girgensons, Ennis, Ristolainen, and Zadorov take huge strides this year. Add in Reinhart, etc. and a few trades/free agents and I highly doubt we will be watching a poopty team.
Would a top 3 pick help? Abso-frickin-lutely. Am I worried if they don't get McEichifin? Nope. |

I don't care who you think you know.
Anyone that thinks Myers brings you back something "massive" in return is touched in the head. IMO
Myers will bring you back his value, nothing "massive" by any means.
IMO - BuffaloHardHat
You know something I hardly ever respond to what you post but you need to get off your soap box. You come on this site everyday and talk down to people, tell people they need to be happy and enjoy life, then you post all these poems and talk about your life story and how sad it is.. I'm tired of hearing about your family problems and and your " poor me" life story. Sorry to hear about you Dad passing of cancer but you know something, my Mom is going through it right now with Multiple Melanoma but you don't hear me talking about it all the time on this site do you? you condemn everyone for how they think and feel about everything. Go tell Oprah your life story, don't tell it on Hockey Buzz and then when you do, get pissed off when people don't agree with you or want to donate to a certain charity. Tired of it and all this had to be said because everyone else is tired of it also.
You would be surprised at what I know about the Sabres and the players. |

I still believe we pick top three this year at least... This team is really awful. |
