Yup..the mix on this team is really not gonna get it done from a forward perspective..

1. 2 elite players (Giroux and Voracek)
2. 1 solid PF (Simmonds)
3. 1 promising rookie (Laughton)
4. 1 3rd line checking center (Couturier)

The rest are all interchangeable cups of oatmeal and you can make the case that if its not a PP Simmonds is and you can make the case that this season Couturier is.

I think the Flyers owed a lot more to a coach who prior to not making the playoffs got them to a Cup Final and two second rounds in four seasons.

I looked at The Season That Shall Not Be Named yesterday... I had to admit that there are a few more pieces that I liked moving forward on that team, and trust me, that was a scary thought

idkw these dooshes that fight with visors on, I thought there was rule they have to discard helmet before fight, I remember Richards would..how the hell can u punch a guy in the face with a visor...if I was a nhl brawler I would never entertain any fight unless dude took of helmet with visor...bugs the poop out of me

There's a rule about instigating a fight with a visor, but Simmonds was trying to go with Fraser. Not as if Fraser instigated the fight.

They fell behind 5-0 to the Devils..
and you point out Rinaldo who got called for an iffy play..

Now Now. Last year this board was full of support on firing Lavi and that Berube was the right choice and his system will so much better for this team. Jack Adams was constantly being repeated in here. What a difference 15 months make. I hope Lavi wins another cup while the Flyers organization goes into a tail spin.
