Plus, I'm within the belief that Simmonds and Read have two of the most reasonable deals in the league. Even with Read not playing up to standards, his money still looks pretty good. - SuperSchennBros
if read can get back to how he was last year and the year prior, his money is very reasonable.
i think simmonds deal is one of the best in the league.
right now with how he is playing, it is hard to top jake, but i do think he will cash in a bit when his time comes. |

I don't think Jake will ever top out at G money but at 6 million, I think a love hate relationship is bound to boil between him and fans. |

if the cap does continue to rise, even 6 million a year is a good deal for jake. i could see him getting a bobby ryan type deal if he really wanted to push the issue. |

I think the flyers lack speed up front except for the obvious players like jake, laughton. The Defense is just not good enough IMO I would trade everyone of them except for Schultz and Striet( even though he has some bad qualities as well). I just don't see them winning anytime soon. At least G Jake and surprisingly the fourth line are fun to watch. Other then them just a boring hard to watch kind of game. I love my flyguys but hextall needs to do something. I love chief but starting to think if he really is the right guy for the job. excuse my horrible typing im typing with one hand lol |

I'm sure this has been asked already but anyone think we could now flip Coburn to the Oilers for the Pens 1st? Pretty fair deal if you ask me. |

Yes. Having two firsts in the first round could lead to a lot of things, whether we choose to use them or flip them. |

i just hope the rumors of a few clubs interested in Vinny are true, but I have my doubts. If they could trade Vinny and 1 or 2 Dmen and net a couple of third rounders I'd be more than happy. |

When they show up with no energy or effort it is on Berube, whether it is directly his fault or not. HC gets more credit in wins and more blame in losses, especially if they look inprepared or with lack of effort - CACannon18
I can't wait until they fire Berube, but it's not as simple as having no energy or effort. It's largely an execution issue and the impact that has on all other facets of the game.
You can have Anthony Robbins as a coach, but if he's playing a defenseman who can't execute an outlet pass or maintain defensive coverage, guys on the team are going to see a dip in confidence, in energy and in most cases it will lead to more mistakes and errors.
Outside of icing players who can execute better, there's nothing a coach can do. If a team doesn't have confidence, it's going to look like it has no energy. Fact of life |

He's getting $7mm+.
If he agreed to a $6mm a year deal, I'd sign him in a heartbeat for 8 years. That'd be a bargain. |

Coburn & B. Schenn to Edmonton for a 1st/2 2nds or 1st/2nd/prospect. - ob18
Both Schenns and Coburn to the Oil for PIT's 2015 1st, and EDM's 2016 1st*,Marincin and whatever garbage they want to send back our way.
* - maybe they think the trade will make them better, lol, like Kessel

True. If they could get a 1st for Coburn out of Calgary I'd be all over it. I like them a lot this year but they're the most likely first round exit of the bunch. |

Brayden Schenn would be tied with RNH as Edmonton's leading scorer |

We have all seen lesser teams work better together and that is what is most problematic /aggravating along with the people he dresses and who he sits and allotment of ice time. Look at the Jets resurgence this year with Paul Maurice.
I saw them lose to Tampa in the Peg in late October, but they have certainly got themselves well above 500. I am not saying their roster is overall lesser, but on paper which roster would you want? |
