Carcillo is a decent player, but seems to be a touch out of sync lately and not effective or a factor lately. Maybe nursing an injury or tired.
I do hate that Roussel. - Topshelf2010
Maybe neither. Carcillo is just a player who is decent for a small stretch of games and then disappears.
Plus. Carcillo kind of sucks as a fighter. |

Shaw sure held his own vs Roussel. That was a fun fight. |

I really hope that scumbag suffers a career ending injury. I am all for tough plays and good hits but that guy is looking to really hurt someone.
Reminds of Marchment. I hated that (frank)er on the Hawks. He was always going for that knee to knee crap.
The sad thing both can play the game too. |

That was a great bout, no doubt. And you could also argue Shaw hasn't been the same since. - TexasFlood
Lol what? I guess you could argue that, but it'd be a silly argument.
Shaw has been fine. He had a rough start to the season because he was playing higher QOC than he ever had before as 2C. He does fine in the top 6 for short stretches, but I'm not sure he's ready for that (or ever will be idk). After he came back from being out a few games, Shaw has looked really solid and even improved in the faceoff circle. He's not getting as many points because 1) he was off the main PP unit for a while in favor of Versteeg 2) Kane isn't shifting on the 3rd as much as last year (he's shifting on the 4th more). |

No doubt. You'd see those legit plays Marchment would make, guy had a decent shot and then throw his knee out at a guy...definitely not cool.
Roussel is a bigtime dbag and was glad Shaw force fed him some knuckles. |

While it's hard to argue much about Versteeg's game this year, he's been very good, Shaw I think is a better option on the pp for the sole purpose of being a disruption in front of the net.
Wish the Hawks had a few others that did it as well as him but he seems to be getting a rep around the league at being a guy who excels at this. |

Think id like to see TT playing with Hossa. Maybe Kruger too.
Saad - Toews - Shaw
Sharp - Richards - Kane
TT/Kruger - TT/Kruger - Hossa
Nordstrom - Smith - Carcillo/Bickell
Wonder how that might look... |

Why would you scramble all of your lines for an AHL call up? |

I think Saad and Toews can carry line 1. Richards and Kane can continue the chemistry on line 2(really, Kane can carry the line by himself, and there's nothing wrong with swapping Sharp for Versteeg), then u have the TT line where IMO those would be the ideal linemates for him, and then u have the 4th line where i believe Smith and Nordstrom have tons of chemistry, Carcillo has seen plenty of time there as well(though mostly with Smith and Kruger), not really as if they wouldn't be able to click. So while it does appear at first as if everything is "scrambled", i actually think that would work out just fine.
Just an idea though.. |

Jesus, SJ. You been drinking? JK.
I would rather see TT between Shaw and Bickell and they can bum slay against 3rd pairings.
Move Nordstrom in for Carcillo to put Kruger , Smith, And Norstrom back together. That line can handle some of the tougher D-zones to give Toews and his mates some more O-zone starts.

You need Carcillo in the line-up tomorrow. Look, Rousell will do something stupid. Crcillo will do something stupid. Carcillo will get a worse penalty than Rousell. Better have Carcillo out than have Toews or Kane out. |

And the Kings tie it at six. Go figure. - TexasFlood
HOLY poop I tuned it out figuring that was over with 10 minutes left...I guess even the great Rinne and blows it now and then. They scored 3 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd. but the preds still got 2 and thats all the that matters.
The kings comeback ability is impressive in the last 2 weeks: came from 2 down vs the nucks and oil and 3 down from the blues.
No lead is safe in this NHL! |

No. They weren't, bogie. Toews and Kane were. Smith was the GM when Keith and Crawford were drafted. Not sure about Seabrook but it was either a Smith or Pulford pick. |

......Shaw.....and Bickell ?? ??.....who's drunk now? also jk...but u know that...
Why would u want him playing with Bickell? Cuz he needs protection? Id rather have him with 2 very solid 2way players, and preferably someone who has some high end offensive skill and likes to shoot a lot. Thats why i was thinking Hossa might be the ideal linemate. Put him with Bickell and Shaw and i feel like u wouldn't be maximizing TT's potential offensively, not to mention those aren't our best 2way players by any means and that line would probably get exposed in their own end. |

yep..as i have said I am more wrong than right. Tallon came on in June 2005 and drafted Toews and Kane. He was director of play pers when Keith (2002) and Seabs/Craw (2003) were drafted. |

After I wrote that, I seem to remember his trades were really bad, but the drafting (later rounds) was his strongest point. He really was not a good judge of NHL personnel. |

I wasn't sure when they made the switch but Tallon became the GM in 2005. |
