I only can place him on the 4th if Dupuis returns and no one else is hurt. Lets not pretend he is above Duper, he won't be slotted above him. |

Cross the luck of Pittsburgh with the luck of Lupul (breaks arm getting hit by a Phaneuf slapper, breaks hand after being fallen on in practice, (frank)s up leg after being fallen on by a caveman) and we'd be giving you picks... - lumlums
Oh, I was going to set it up to screw you no matter what...
1st round if 1 or less games not skated...
2nd for 3 or less...
3rd for 8
4th for 21
5th for 41
And we'd just sit him in four of the last games to ensure no more than a 3rd :p |

Downie belongs on the 3rd line, but since we have a shortage of guys who can play LW and an overload of RWs, Downie is one of the easiest guys to bump down. Sorry, I love what Steve has brought to this team and he's played like a real leader, but he is not Sid's RW. That's PH. The easiest way to keep Downie on the 3rd is by trading for a LW for Sutter and moving Comeau down to 4th RW. I'd give Comeau/Sutter/Downie a try, but I'm just not confident that would produce. Not enough skill. |

. A player picked in that range can take upwards of 3-5 years that the Penguins just don't have time to wait for.
That's exactly what needed to be said. Pertinent is 26 and is in his prime. That definitely is a score. |

I wonder... With Rust showing flashes, I wonder if he's the winger that Sutter needs in order to continue production without Beau Bennett. Perhaps, in a world without further trade, we can see
- Victoro311
Rust isn't the guy for Sutter. We've seen it since Sutter got here, he needs a playmaker on his line. He is a great skater, has a very underrated shot/release, but he can't create offense by himself. That is why Bennett is so good for him. Bennett is a playmaking wing.
Rust is Tyler Kennedy 2.0. He is a straight line player, who goes to the net and always seems to be around the puck. But he has a bit of tunnel vision, and will shoot more than pass. That kind of player can be a decent bottom six guy, but he doesn't create offense either. |

“Kris Letang is here this morning and other guys that aren’t going to play or who are injured, so it was nice to get on the ice for about 10-12 minutes and get my legs going,” Perron said.
Nice to see Letang in a bit of a leadership role, making a trip to the rink in the morning to meet fellow French Canadian Perron (Dupuis there too). |

Hell, Zubov got traded because he didn't pass the puck to Lemieux enough on the power play. |

Whybis there not a sleeping emoji? This argument is stupid. He isn't top six, he can fill in, but he remains behind a few others on the depth chart at right wing. |

For all the folks who fell for Elliotte Friedman's word parsing:
Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff dismissed a Sportsnet report that he and the Penguins soon will discuss a contract extension. Ehrhoff said he is happy but isn't interested in discussing an extension at this time. “Now isn't the time,” he said. Ehrhoff scored his third goal of the season in Friday's 6-3 win against Tampa Bay. He has produced 16 points in 33 games and is a team-best plus-16.
