Lucic - yes. Krug and Smith aren't going anywhere. I would offer Lucic, Kelly and Seidenberg, but who could afford the cap hit?

Chara looked very unstable and slow. How long has been struggling in his own end?

Since his return, I think he came back too early!
He may have tweaked the knee on the Ryan goal.

Smith..... liked him last year, this year, one of too many jag/s. Looch.. time to step up and prove you're a man and a hockey player. wtf Neely should piss in your water bottle. Krug.. ok... talked w friends the other day. What about moving Krug to first line wing... in that vacant spot....

Chara should be the guy traded. Think of the asset coming back and the cap space. Calgary held on to Iginla too long, the B's can't make that mistake!

Since his return? He looked bad before his injury this year.

i don't think the assets would be that great. like you said, he comes with a massive cap hit, with lots of term left, and he's not the player he used to be. yes, i know he was hurt, but even without that he's nowhere near the dominating force he's been in the past, and is unlikely to ever be that player again.

i expect the return for chara might be similart, or maybe a little more than ottawa got for spezza......a young okay roster player, couple of b level prospects, and a decent pick.

Chara has been brutal since the playoffs last year... he CANNOT turn! Too slow, looked pathetic against the Habs last year and is even slower this year Chiarelli should have used compliance buyout on him this past summer... but, well smarts are not one of Peter's strengths.

Yup you buyout a guy that was a Norris finalist last year and your captain.... People are brutal, he may have slowed a bit but he isn't a buyout candidate. He won't be traded either I wouldn't say. People are acting like he is a bottom pairing dman with nothing left.

Oh and Ya Chiarelli the Harvard grad and thought I as one of the better GM in the league doesn't have any smarts.

Let's all jump off the bridge!!!

I blame Eriksson!!! HahahHa. This team started out the year full of injuries. Lucic is playing horrible and looks like he just doesn't care. Krejci is just getting back into form. Chara is getting older and Dougie has to step it up. This team will (hopefully) make the playoffs but its no secret they need another tough Dman (Boychuk would have been nice) and a winger for that top line. And as I write this, Chara just gave away the puck and took a tripping penalty. Trade him!!! Hahahahaaha

I take it back; if this game against Carolina today is any indication, this team is not making the playoffs. This is so painful to watch.

Even if they come back and win this game 8-1, you would think someone is getting traded today. I don't even care if it's for prospects or picks at this point (they're too cap-strapped to make any other move, anyway). This team needs a shakeup.

I watch as much as I can and have for the past 5-6 years, since Gamecenter has been available, and have never seen them play this lackluster for the long stretches not only in games but multiple games in a row. It's uninspired, sloppy, just bad hockey. And it seems like despite leading the league in disallowed goals they have flurries and can't cash in and then without fail the puck goes the other way and Bang, in the back of the net. I agree, somethings gotta give.

It is brutal. Before the season started I thought they stood a pretty good shot at a cup run. Then they traded Boychuk. As much as I hoped they'd be ok, I knew he was such a big part of their game. Hate to say it but this team may be going into a 'mini-rebuild' (if there is such a thing?).

I hate the "world is against us and the bounces don't go our way and the effort is there and we played well enough to win..........," bullpoop!

No you are just not good enough god damn it........
And I don't care if THIS team won the Cup FOUR YEARS AGO......have you improved as a team?

......NO.

Even Edwards is drinking that kool aid.......Edwards is such a suck ass homer it makes this year the worst year he has had on TV.

(frank)ing idiot!

The fans have no idea what they are watching......we should just shut up because all is good in the world according to CJ and Edwards.

By the looks of this team- the majority of them should be jumping off a bridge. Do you even watch the games?? I could care less if Chara was a Norris finalist last year- he was exposed big time in the playoffs LY and is way past his prime. He doesn't even have the mobility to catch guys to hit them anymore.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say about Peter Chiarelli, but
yes, Chiarelli is a Harvard grad who has tied his own hands with bad contracts and NTC's. Who in their right mind gives Krecji a $2 million raise after not scoring a single goal in the playoffs then gives away Boychuk for nothing. This team is playing like they don't care and part of it is the fact the big $$ earners can't go anywhere. (with the exception of Marchy)

My point is about the announcers.......!

Jack Edwards is an embarrassment....

A bad bounce off a stanchion and he starts whining that "bad bounces cost us the series against the Habs," nonsense.

There is too much "talking" from Edwards, CJ, Lucic, etc. about how everything is okay.

Do they watch the games.........this team lacks skill, speed and HEART.

Boychuk was a stabilizer out there and was one of the few mobile d-men they had. They do need a bit of an overhaul... the tough part of it though is who goes(too many NTC's given out to move an impact for impact player trade) and Julien doesn't have any patience with young players so would young guys like Spooner, Khoklachev, etc actually get a chance to make a contribution up front? Jordan Caron had a great game vs. Detroit early in the week hitting and winning battles in the corners and he has sat the last 2 (3 after today?) losses. Doesn't make sense, but what we've seen this year is NOT "Bruins Hockey".

And your right about Chara......I've been saying it for awhile......his Kryptonite is speed to the outside.....he can not turn his hips and get up to speed fast enough.

Boychuck was going to need to be traded my only problem is that the return was GARBAGE.......he should have held him and traded him in a package to Winnipeg for Kane or to Edmonton for Eberle, Perron or a blockbuster for Hall.

Krejic would have gotten $8 plus on the open market.......he IS a top line center.......OUR PROBLEM is our lack if skill and consistency on our top six wings.......Krejic has led the NHL in scoring during the playoffs twice in four years........
