The thing that drives me crazy is going into this season I thought to myself "man we have a shutdown PK pair in Couturier and Read." To this point of this season they are far from that.

It really is mind boggling what Berube sees in that guy. A -7 with stone hands and really has not shown any emotion ( Zombie like) and yet he has not sat a game.
The guy even gets 2nd PP time which is more Franked up

Leier, ghost, fazleev, lindblom. Recent mid to late round picks that have real potential. Flyers scouting had done a nice job. Just avoid the z2 type picks and get more picks

You should add Nicolas Aubé-Kubel so far has 2 assists after 2 periods but 6 penalty minutes.

MacDonald has zero trade value with his contract. Schultz is a pending UFA. Unless he agrees to a new deal at his current salary, I'd definitely move him. Between Grossmann & Schenn, I'd rather keep Schenn and try to see if a bigger role helps him solidify his game.

I'd be perfectly OK with trading Schultz and Grossman for the highest picks we can get. Finish out the season with DeZotto and Colacoccopuffs + to finish out the season. This team as constructed has no quick fix.

It seems that way, plus I think the team leaned on him too much early to be "the guy" when they have others that can contribute.

In the same game is Jérémy Roy for the 2015 draft but his team just doesn't look good.

They also miss Adam Hall not winning that first faceoff and Matt Read not being Matt Read. When you add that to the loss of Kimmo, its not really that surprising.
