I'd like to believe that was Hextall trusting the scouts because that had to be all them on believing in their abilities and fighting for them to be selected

It was a short one but nice.

Sanheim didn't have a point but did well positionally and even though he was on the ice for a goal against it wasn't his fault.

That's what I have been saying. I can't see him making the Flyers next year if he can't crack the top 6 of a team of prospects. He is probably a couple years away at best

It's hard to judge a guy playing 7th Dman minutes in a tourney like this, but he hasn't been real memorable.

I don't like how they are using him, he's much better than a 7th D-man.........if that's how they saw him, it may have been best to just not bring him,

Agreed, a lot of times a guy who is primarily a shut down guy needs to play regular shifts to get in a rhythm. Still think he's going to need at least another season or two.

It is tough to judge a player not getting full minutes,but if he can't get top 6 minutes in Junior..How will he get top 6 playing against men in the NHL next year..
I think he has a way to go yet, not saying he won't get there..but we may have to wait longer that we thought

It is tough to judge a player not getting full minutes,but if he can't get top 6 minutes in Junior..How will he get top 6 playing against men in the NHL next year..

He's getting top pair minutes with his team in the QMJHL. I never expected him soon. I figured three years when he was picked.

I've been saying he needs more time. He's barely played this year because of that injury so that pushed him back a bit & to be barely playing here when he could just be getting big minutes back with Rimouski also hurts.

He's not going to win any speed skating contests but he's been working it & does improve as games go on but that's usually when he sees 20 plus minutes a night if not more.

Maybe true but 20 to 30 minutes a game to maybe 6 here........even if it's representing his country it can not be a total joy.

Good things going for him is he's always wanting to learn & improve but most importantly his is one confident kid.
