Maybe trying to assess his value to the organization? I really don't believe the whole "play him so scouts can see him" thing.. just doesn't seem plausible. Not like scouts are dumb. Either the player doesn't play and scouts say "well, he's barely good enough to crack the line up, we can offer a late rounder or a reclamation" or the player plays and they say "well, he's not that good, we can offer a late rounder or a reclamation." I think we all know Enroth probably has more value, but then again he's been getting lit up past few games so I think Nolan just wanted to switch it up, see how Neuvirth would hold up. I mean, he hasn't at all. So I mean we're just terrible, but hey.. McEichel.

Basically my thoughts. He does need to play more, his talent is similar to Enroth's.

He's an average coach with strengths and weaknesses. No better or no worse than Lindy Ruff.

Eventually we will get better in that area too

I am in no hurry to get rid of Myers. That said, I think that after this draft the one area where we will be lacking is on the wing. Edmonton seems to have goofed up Schultz so I think we would be buying low (Lowe).

You could see it in the beginning when they bought in all those washed up players. They easily could have left Strachan behind and started the season with Pysyk who is better than all of them. I was listening to Nolan the other day and he said Pysyk is an NHL'r and he belongs here but its a numbers game right now.

Strachan was brought in to compete for the 7th D. There isn't any way they thought he would be playing and you don't want your kid sitting in the press box. To be fair, he actually looked ok up until recently. Also, there is nothing wrong with having the kids spend most of the year in Rochester as it lets them grown and keeps them away from this mess.
