If they are in the 5 to 8 range.
Zacha, Marner, Strome, Kylington, Roy, & Svechnikov all should be considered. - ob18

I like Sprong, too. I'm just saying if you want size...none of those guys have much of it. - Jsaquella
We need a big guy in this draft. Be it a winger or D man. |

Personally, have to guard against looking at the short term over the long term. Lecavalier is just hot right now, but how he is skating and working, is a good sign if he remains a Flyers. Can he keep that up over the 2nd half of the season. - MJL
He had the same kind of hot streak last season on the 4th-line, eating up weak comp and doing some damage on the PP. That didn't last, so I suspect this current thing is just another hot streak. Even if he is scoring, that line has been routinely giving up goals with increased ice. That's not so good.
With Del Zotto, he teased us during that period. Haven't given up hope yet, but there has been far more down periods then up with Del Zotto the last 3 seasons - MJL
He was doing great when they were forced to live w/ his roving... the minute Coburn and AMac came back, he was back on one-mistake-and-you're-eating-dog-food status. |

I was thinking more along the lines of Hanafin or Crouse. |

I don't think that is an accurate description of the situation. Del Zotto was never scratched for making one mistake. He was scratched for playing rogue individual hockey. If he had continued to play as he had during that 2 week stretch or so, he would've never been removed from the lineup. He stopped being a defenseman, and tried to play like a forward.

There has basically been zero difference in the d core with or without coburn/amac and the likes of cc and MDZ playing
It's a sad state of affairs |

It would interesting of the flyers developed a rover position.
I could see MDZ, coots, and Bellemare as our 1-3 rovers |

Dunno, I haven't noticed a change in his game at any point in the season. I haven't really seen him down shift to a more conservative gear, even after being freshly admonished. He's always deep in the o-zone, all over the ice -- it's just part of his DNA.
He thrives when they put up with it. |

Anyone see any teams taking interest in Emery? I was thinking the Bolts maybe. Nabakov has been bad and their kid isn't ready for playoff hockey. I'd be happy with a 4th for Ray. |

It's not about being conservative. Berube does not want Del Zotto playing conservatively. I've seen a clear and drastic difference in his game. He had an outstanding period of about 2 weeks. Other then that, he has been ordinary, and underwhelming from where he should be, to being downright horrendous defensively in the first month or so of the season. I'd really like to see him put it together, since he showed in that stint that he has the ability. |

He's 6'2" at 17 years of age. Not huge by any means but he should be able to still put on an inch or two. |

This - AllInForFlyers
The d-corps actually looked semi-competent when both MDZ and Colie were in the lineup together. |

I was disappointed in the dip when Coburn and AMac returned...I honestly thought they were going to stabilize and go on a little run |

At this point Morin should be in the game to use his size. |

There's good size to be had, but if they have a top 5 pick, I want BPA, even if it's a tiny guy like Marner.
If they can get into the late first round with a trade, there's some good, bigger players that should be on the board. |
