At this point Morin should be in the game to use his size.

Dunno, I haven't noticed a change in his game at any point in the season. I haven't really seen him down shift to a more conservative gear, even after being freshly admonished. He's always deep in the o-zone, all over the ice -- it's just part of his DNA.

He thrives when they put up with it.

His play dipped a bit when he returned from his LBI, after one game. But Berube buried him in the Shelley Suite for most of three weeks. That was ridiculous, and Berube saying that he was happy with the defense was worse.

Del Zotto definitely did enough where he deserved better than a seat in the sky for that long a stretch

It's a shame they don't allow fighting because he'd probably have destroyed a few Russians.

He's 6'2" at 17 years of age. Not huge by any means but he should be able to still put on an inch or two.

Werenski has good size, too. As do Zacha, Crouse and Strome.

Zacha, Strome, & Crouse all can play with and center.

I'd be a bit upset if they took Crouse higher than #10, given the other talent available.

I hope you don't think this has any shot of happening next year. You will be very disappointed.

Crouse is a funny one. You can watch him and see the talent, and it just doesn't or hasn't translated into points. I know part of that is his team, and Zacha hasn't exactly been tearing it up, either. I'm still a bit leery on him.

That could be a useful skill on the big club for the next couple years.

Ran into Dave Schultz at dinner tonight. Well, it was in the bathroom at dinner. We chatted a bit, and I said as I stood at the urinal, "I'd shake your hand, but..", and without blinking he said, "Yeah, it's flu season." Perfect.

This team needs an infusion of skill with size. There are guys like Gallagher that find a way but I'd rather have a bigger player who can have more impact on a game if he isn't scoring.

Berubian thinking I know. Just not a fan of how (frank)ing soft this crew is. Need some nasty in the top 9 if not top 6.

- flyer_nutter

Yup. We have not seen Flyer Hockey all season. We don't need brawling or staged fights, but this team needs some edge and some grit that comes in a skilled package. Guys like Lucic. I know they don't grow on trees, but that is exactly what they need, along with a top shelf Dman and a 1A Dman.

Here's an interesting question I saw on Twitter:

How many Flyers players would you say are performing well below your expectations?

I came up with two. Read and Coburn. There's a handful of others that are below expectations, but not playing so badly that I could say, "Wow, I'm stunned at how awful he looks"

- Jsaquella

Anyone who said Emery would be a solid backup should add him to the list. He's down at a miserable .893.
