Yup. We have not seen Flyer Hockey all season. We don't need brawling or staged fights, but this team needs some edge and some grit that comes in a skilled package. Guys like Lucic. I know they don't grow on trees, but that is exactly what they need, along with a top shelf Dman and a 1A Dman. - Lexington Flyer
I would not mind if they found some size that could play a grinding game with possession in the bottom 6
It's disappointing that Umberger has been so poor on the wall and while the fourth line has been much improved lately, I wonder if having Bellemare and Vandevelde is simply giving away a bit too much size on a team that really isn't all that big |

His play dipped a bit when he returned from his LBI, after one game. But Berube buried him in the Shelley Suite for most of three weeks. That was ridiculous, and Berube saying that he was happy with the defense was worse.
Del Zotto definitely did enough where he deserved better than a seat in the sky for that long a stretch - Jsaquella
This kind of crap can hurt a player's confidence (he practically crushed Akeson's). Berube needs to learn some of the finer points of coaching human beings.

History shows it can be done.
The Canadian boys know how to attack, but have a jack poop idea how to defend. Play like the Oilers. Flash and dance. Slow it down, or Russia will take this over.
Fucale very average. Kind of hope to see Russia win, love the underdogs. |
