given how tough it's been to stock the blueline with top 4 defensemen, I don't think I'd move both just for first round picks, unless they were home runs (top 10?). How far into the future should we be looking, exactly? - BulliesPhan87
3-4 years, IMO. They could also package the 1sts for a roster player. They wouldn't necessarily have to use them. |

I've got no problem with Giroux sitting out as long as it needs for the cut to be fully healed. This team isn't going anywhere. - Feanor

Yeah, there's really no point in rushing Giroux. The Eagles have as good a chance at making the NHL playoffs as the Flyers. |

Giroux is not on ice, Rinaldo is skating with Brayden Schenn and Jake Voracek.
Some guys commit a dumb penalty and get benched for a month. Others do the same and get promoted to the top line. Berube'd. - Jsaquella

Bogo's deal is too long and expensive for a guy that's on IR more than Colaiacovo. - tangent_man
He makes less then MacDonald and is younger. He is only 24. I understand you might not like the risk but I think it would be a deal that could give you that top pair guy. |

Berube's got to have Zherdev's limo driver on call.

I would bruing up the Seguin deal. Boston got Riley Smith, Prospect Joe Morrow and Loui Erikson.
I guess what I am trying to say by using Simmonds as example is unless your moving the two stars or your young core their really isn't much that brings back great value. Simmonds could fetch a nice return to help bring in solid value. - J35Bacher
Yes, but that wasn't 1 player. Seguin was the centerpiece, but Peverly and Ryan Button (throw-in) both went along as well. In the Recchi/Neal deals, it was just 1 roster player. |

I might do it simply because the value is too good to pass up. 3 first round picks in a loaded draft.
I think the Flyers should look to next year as a total rebuild. If they commit to that, I think things will fall into place a little easier. The worst thing this team can do is say they need to make the playoffs next year |

What would you give up for him, though? Chevy's gonna at least want assets that equal up to a 2012 JvR level of value. |

It's just nonsense at this point. If Giroux's not fully healed, there's zero sense in rushing him back. Let him fully heal, and return when ready. Even with him, they're not winning at a .750 clip over the next 43 games. |

I'd take Bogo if it was just the cap hit. But when you looks at his declining production year-by-year (exception of 11/12), along with a guy who's injured as often as not, I'd be wary of trading any of our young "core" players for him. |

I feel bad for Clode and Jake, having to sit through this while they're playing so well. |

I know Pierre called him a franchise guy but he was compared to Adam Foote who wasn't. Maybe he was supposed to be a top pair guy who can play physical and shutdown but not in same category of a Top pairing.
You don't have to agree with me. I am fine with that. I just know my plan of action. |

I agree 100%. I don't get why the hell the would be so quick to put out a statement he's probable to play the next night? It makes them look stupid.
Is it really hard to say Giroux has an injury and will be re-evaluated. His playing status will be updated once his injury has been diagnosed. |
