Well when you have that 1 superstar franchise defenseman that plays close to 30 mins a night like so many of you claim, you'd think his talent and ability would impact the game positively. I mean he's out there for close to half the game yet you guys struggle that entire half.

i caught a Nolan interview a couple of weeks ago and he said Myers is not being shopped and Myers does not want to be traded. His point total is down because Nolan has him concentrating on his defensive game.

Karlsson isnt exactly a great defenseman.

This was a good read Michael but it's articles like this one that breed 10 page long pissing contests. They don't want him and were not actively looking to trade him.

I'm not quoting just points though - he has the worst corsi rel on your team right now besides Deslauriers and he hasnt shown improvement in most stats year over. I personally agree that i think Myers would fit in well with the Wings or really any team that can give him a good partner but his actual value (not what the sabres want) is not nearly that high.

This is why ive stated in most threads that i dont believe there is any chance he gets moved because no team will be willing to take that kind of gamble on a player who has not proven a ton since his rookie season.

I was just trying to figure out what fans value Myers at (as in if it was a fair trade) - not what they expect in a return because i know the Sabres will hold unless they get a huge overpay.

Tough to judge individual players Corsi stats when we get out shot 2 to 1 on a regular basis. U gotta actually watch him playbgor a few games. We are much better with him than without...
If u looked at stats as a way to judge players on our team, u would also conclude that Enroth is as good as Miller...
So, like I said, u actually have to watch...
And this is coming from someone who thinks Myers is a very good 2nd pair guy, not a Norris trophy candidate

It is. Whoever thought it was a good idea to give a young kid guaranteed millions (wasn't his salary the first couple years 12M a year?) was an idiot. Wheres the motivation or incentive to continue to improve? I bet Myers would be playing a lot better these days if he didnt have a mansion and 30M in the bank keeping him and his mind at ease and rather was facing free agency and had to perform well to get a good deal.

It's always the same stuff being thrown out everytime. Just a selection of key words like massive, overpayment, franchise, struggling, value,Larkin, Mantha, Calder, 6'8, idiot, and IDIOT!. It used to be funny, now it just makes me yawn more than watching the Sabres this year.
