So let me get the Sabres logic:

We are better with Myers, he is a stud.
We are tanking for McDavid or Eichel, but no where near the top 2 picks at the moment because of Myers.
So we will only trade 24 years old stud RH D for a ridiculous asking price no one will ever pay.

All this, during a mega rebuild, where any 24 stud D would be considered the building block.

Maybe he just isn't that good after 6 years in the NHL and other GMs will never pony up for unrealized petential?

Or, Buffalo GM giveth the fans something to talk about, because God knows, Sabres fans only have sci-fi trade scenarios to discuss, with "overpayment" being the keyword.

Detroit fans: Do you guys spend any time in Bob's blogs or is his blogs just awful? Serious question, I just noticed his blog has been up for 24 hours and there are no comments.

Edit: I just checked a bunch of them... Apparently not.

Sabres fan will hang on to Myers potential till he is 30 I'll bank on that. Some love him some hate him. I think he would thrive on a really good team, But he isn't a number one go to guy and never will be. He needs other good players around him to be better.

Rumor has it that the Sabres are looking to swing a trade that would bring Max Domi to Buffalo!!! (SC4)

#update: Though the current asking price seems to be Buffalo's 2015 first round pick!(currently 3rd overall)!! No way Murray can even think about that till the McEichel lottery plays itselfs out.

If we lose out on McEichel I'd definatly trade the 3rd overall for max domi. Not straight up but part of a package of course.

He is not on the trade block to be clear . Just don't know how Wings fans don't get that . So yes if he is traded it would have to be for a huge return . How can't you understand that . It is not a complex equation. We are not sending anyone to the moon . But it just does not compute to Detroit fans. No one is trying to slag you or rip you off . It is just that easy . Don't know how else to explain it.

Best advice set your sights on another defense man if you do not like the asking price. Seems simple enough. But Wings fans will be here everyday.

I like Max better than Marner. Marner is a year or two away from the NHL. Max could be playing now.

I used to like the Red Wings.....until today.

It is amazing how this site has caused me to hate every team in the NHL.
