Buffalo has enough picks, pieces and parts. What they need is top level talent.

You have a high end talent on a good cap hit for several years that is coming into his prime right when the team is hoping to be "good". There is not a single part of trading him that makes sense. Any trades Buffalo should be looking to make right now are:

Trading UFA's for assets
Packaging picks (not their 1st, obviously)/pieces/parts for higher tier talent. They would also not do this right now, they would do it during the offseason (don't want to mess with the tank).

Trading Myers for more random crap does not fit into either. If you want to trade him 1:1 for an established, high end winger with years on their contract remaining due to the defensive depth Buffalo has then ok. Nothing else really makes sense in the current state of the franchise.

The media are the only ones saying that players like Myers and Hall are on the block, not saying either team would come right out and say it either. The Sabres have no reason to trade Myers, with the rebuild that this team is going through you keep a player like him, that's my opinion. A player like Myers with his size, speed and skill is hard to come by but, the Sabres are looking for a young, goal scoring winger.

The Owner is not telling Murray to get rid of their best player for pucks and a broken stick. Its funny that people still think they will get Myers for next to nothing. Its comical.

Myers is better offensively than what is seen on paper. The way you score is stay out of the box, roll 4 lines, wear down the opposition by overwhelming them in possession time and shots. We do as close to the complete opposite on a nightly basis as you can get.

Fair enough.

I'll say 1 thing about the Red Wings............... no matter who or what players they have, they all seem very good. NHL, AHL it doesn't matter. They let certain Vets go and the kids play just as good or better.

I didn't hear much about him as of late, they had some interest before. I know the ROR stuff was more Darcy wanting him then Murray. He doesn't seem like a Murray or Nolan type player but Kane is. I know they want a young scoring winger, that I know.
