Green has 20 points in 30 games and is only 29 years old

The sabres are going to have to spend 20 mil or so and based on that there is no reason to believe they won't make moves to compete for the 8th spot next season in the east

I like Staal just fine but not for 6+ mill a year. I could only see going for that if we moved Myers. We will probably all fight about this but I'd rather have Myers.

I think if Myers sticks around, and Nolan then Staal and Martin may be targeted.

If an offensive minded coach is brought in next season, don't be shocked if they kick the tires with Green

If Myers is a good contract for a 2/3 d man, why wouldn't stall be the same at 6 per?

I think a lot of it might depend on how fast they want to turn it around. Outside of the kids currently on the roster I think we are years away from the next true wave of talent (Pysyk and Armia being the exceptions). He could wait it out but having that much cap space and prospects might be too much to resist. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to get talent on the cheap did like Atlanta did when Chicago was over the cap.

I don't think Stewart or Staff will be here by the end of the month. Certainly not next year.
