Internet is slow when I get home around 5pm...so I reset my router and my modem. My modem decides to stop working. I call comcast around 6 and end up running through 3 different people, two of which try to register my modem which is for some reason "not on my account." Then the third guy tells me that they have been charging me for a modem I own for the past two years. He tries to help me, but can't, telling me it's something wrong with my computer. Doesn't help me with the bill stuff, but after an hour with this, guy sets up a tech guy to come out on Friday. My problem still doesn't work.

I am on the phone now with comcast again with their poopty smooth jazz on hold service, and fiddle with my modem a little...it magically starts working.

You gotta be (frank)ing kidding me. I ended up eating dinner and taking a piss while on hold tonight. 2 hours and counting. Oh, and my bill does not say anything about charges for leasing a modem.

The (frank)ing worst.

Pretty common issue. Just wait until you terminate service and they hit you with a lost equipment charge for this supposed modem they've been leasing to you.

Yeah...I feel bad for the customer support people. I try to be patient, because they don't create the problems, just deal with everyone's rage. But it is infuriating being on the phone with 3 people for 2 hours, with a half hour of that being on hold. The Flyers season doesn't seem so bad anymore.

I may have PTSD now.
