I was a partial season ticket holder during the 06/07 season. I enjoy Hockey and love the Flyers. Why not go and enjoy? - MJL
For me, it became a question of value. But to each their own, of course. |

There is no doubt it's a money pit. The cost involved is why I gave up my tickets. If I had tickets though, I'd go and enjoy. No doubt this team is frustrating right now, but in my opinion it's only temporary. I still like the future of this team, and I beleive that the situation is not near as dire as some make it out to be. |

If I had the tickets already paid for, I'd go. But no way in heck I'm buying tickets when they're playing like this. I have better things to do with my time than drive to the arena, fight the crowd, overpay for food, and then fight the crowd again, and go home after a disappointing loss. This season, I'll watch them on tv... because then, I can always walk away when I have enough of them sucking... |

There is always that chance.
I've actually been frequenting more AHL games lately. It's always fun watching the Phantoms, but I also go to quite a few WB/S Pens games, in which I have no clear favorite (sure, I secretly root against the Pens)... sometimes it's nice just to watch a game impartial and hear fans on both sides cry about penalties that aren't there lol.
Always fun going to see the Bears at the Giant too.. |

What made it so intolerable for me was the knowledge that he's going to be playing for the Rangers, possibly for a long, long time. |

Used to really enjoy going to Phantoms games when they were at the Spectrum. It was a great environment to watch a game. |

watching Duclair during the WJC made me so mad - nastyflyergirl
He was terrific. I guess if you look at it objectively, 7 or 8 other teams passed up Duclair after the Flyers selected Goulbourne. I'm sure they are kicking themselves now as well. The draft isn't an exact science, but it sure is frustrating when things don't work out as well as we'd like. I was excited when the Flyers drafted Hagg, after watching Bowey I'm questioning that as well.
Do over on the 2013 draft.
Round 1 Morrissey
Round 2 Bowey
Round 3 Duclair
How pumped and jacked would people be right now???!!! |

Same here. I'll save my ticket money for a chance to see the Cup raised over a 12 game package with no guarantee of seeing a good team. |

Jury's still out on Morrissey and Morin. Both are good prospects as are Hagg and Bowey. Goulbourne over Duclair though...

I think people were more upset that they gave themselves no chance of finding a diamond in the rough. If they picked a skilled guy who never panned out, no one would really care.
The draft is mostly luck after the first round. You want to always load up on talent in the hopes that one develops into something special. Guys like Goulborne are a dime a dozen |

Yup. No hindsight bias will ever be involved with the Goulbourne pick. He shouldn't have been selected so early for the reasons you stated. |

Agreed. What's the purpose of taking a guy that might make it as a 4th line plug? They are a dime a dozen and can be had very cheaply. Didn't make much sense. |

No, there is an episode where a future class finds a time capsule with a video tape of him, but this was the original series. He did not appear in The New Class. |

yeah, but where are you going to sit in that closet out of which they operate? Don't underestimate the value of a good seat - BulliesPhan87
That is a valid point. However, the Flyers' seats aren't exactly of the finest quality. |
