I don't. But part of Toews' status, to me, is that he is a very no-nonsense guy on the ice, and carries himself with a quiet dignity off of it. Like I said, he's the closest thing to a modern day Beliveau.

It definitely seems like he's low on flash, high on substance, the typical Clint Eastwood character, the strong/silent type. G is more Jason Statham. I'd just have a hard time labeling one a better leader than the other without being around them. But Pronger, Jason Smith, Hatcher, their qualities seemed a little more apparent. IMO.

If the Flyers were a true team with GUTS and not a fake team, they would have Weber as captain, Stamkos and Ryan as alternates (Giroux on the Phantoms to learn how to lead). Next captain when Weber retires: Chris Pronger's son

I hear he stole the LotR sword. "It'll wind up on eBay at some point. All proceeds will go to the person that buys its charity."

I think Pronger had a legendary handle on the media. G is good with them but Pronger would hand them their crap right back and they'd lick it off his fingers and beg for more. I miss his looks of "you're an idiot and you know it", or "REALLY? Did you just lower yourself to ask me that" look.
In other aspects I think G does a fine job...
