Outside of McNeil, anyone else down in Rockford playing very well? Would love to get to a game but my travel and schedule doesn't make it work. Unless I catch them in Des Moines or in Chicago.
How does Hartman look? Johns? Cleddenning?
- SteveRain
Hartman is in his first full season as a pro. He's been inconsistent. He's still trying to figure things out. There are glimpses of what he can be. He just needs time to put it all together.
Johns has been out with an injury. He hasn't suited up for a game since November 26th. Broadhurst has been gone about the same amount of time with a broken arm.
Clendening is about the same. He helps on the offensive side of things, and is not all that great in his own end. Dent has had him paired with Cumiskey as of late. It's always an adventure when that paring is on the ice.
Outside of McNeill and Danault, there are a few guys here that I believe could help out.
- Dahlbeck could turn into a steady defenseman for next season.
- Ross was having a nice season until he was on the shelf for a couple of weeks.
- Carey is a feisty grinder that could push for a job on the 4th line next season. He's not afraid of putting a hit on someone, .
- Rasmussen has quietly put up some solid play at both ends of the ice. He's not too bad at the dot, either.
- Pokka could really be something. Pokka actually has a clue as to what to do in his own end, unlike some of the other offensively talented d-men that have passed through Rockford. Bowman might have found something there.
