Absolutely pathetic. Berube should just have Schenn and MacDonald play rock, paper, scissors after pre-game warmups to determine who is going to be in the lineup. - PLindbergh31
Who's to say that's not what he does?? |

Sure seemed like Poile and Clarke/Homer had a really productive trade partnership going on for awhile... but I wouldn't be surprised to see that go cold for a long while.
Like the Flyers and Canucks used to be pretty regular trade partners, but after the Kesler OS, zilch. Maybe that's coincidence... maybe not. - Tomahawk
According to Paul McCann, he was with upper management shortly after the Weber OS ordeal, and they basically swore off ever trading with the Flyers again. But after a few years, maybe that's cooled off. |

If you're Montreal/Phoenix/Minnesota/St. Louis/LA/Nashville, are you trading Subban/OEL/Suter/Pietrangelo/Doughty/Weber for a 5-10 overall draft pick, a player with 0 games of pro experience? - jmatchett383
I wouldn't even take the call. |

It's what you said. And you implied that it could be done ("and you know this because?") - jmatchett383
i merely implied tgat your intelligence and clairvoyance supersede everyone's eho thinks outside the flyer management dogma but seriously i couldve wrote that out better |

No rhyme or reason to anything. They need a bigger more physical presence in the lineup vs. the Caps? Really? Stupid. I don't like L. Schenn or MacDonald. Why is Grossmann, and Coburn exempt from being scratched?
IMO the only guy who really shouldn't be sat is Streit. First unit PP, and the best puck mover on the team. Other then that, any of these guys can be sat at any time. It doesn't really matter. |

Schenn threw rock. Macdonald threw paper. Macdonald started celebrating and Berube came over and yelled "Whoa wait a minute rock flies right through paper! Luke you're in!" |

Poile should be grateful. Weber is probably gone if he never signs that OS from the Flyers. I get the feeling Weber assumed Nashville would not match an offer like that |

It's their own fault they couldn't settle business ahead of time. They waited until the last minute, he came open for anyone to OS him, the Flyers did, Nsh didn't have to match but they did... big deal, get over it.. If Nsh is going to hold a grudge over it, they need to learn to keep emotion out of it.
PS: I got real tired of the ownership group crying how the Flyers "forced their hand" in resigning Weber at that price, and how it could damage their investments NOT to sign him. That's pro sports fellas.. if you can't roll with the pack, get out. |
