Not yet.
Ghost has been out with a knee injury for a few months, but is slated to begin skating soon.

MDZ is a restricted free agent in the summer, so the question really is whether he gets a qualifying offer. Given that he's on a discount salary this season, I would think he gets a QO even with his stretch as a healthy scratch. We'll see, though.
Ghost got injured -- partially torn ACL -- in early November. Just began skating again but is expected to return this season. |

idk about MDZ, it really depends on the rest of the season. He's been good, but also been healthy scratched.
Ghost's knee died a couple months ago, he's only just started skating again. |

He's been pretty terrific for the most part -- it would be sad if they allowed Chief to torpedo the reclamation.

Thanks. Do you see them targeting any of the UFA defenseman? |

Only if they trade someone. All these guys are under contract for 15-16:
Streit 5.25
MacDonald 5
Coburn 4.5
LSchenn 3.6
Grossmann 3.5 |

IMO none of them are worth what they will get in the market.

Eskin says it's his knee. - Feanor
Eskin may be correct (I don't know yet) but:
1) Eskin isn't here today in Voorhees and wasn't in the dressing room last night
2) Mason was standing around talking to reporters at length last night and after practice today without so much as icepack, a limp when walking, etc.
3) The general impression right now -- and hopefully we find out more when Hextall addresses us -- is that it's localized discomfort.
4) Eskin is not infallible about Flyers injuries, etc. He gets some right ahead of everyone else but has gotten wrong info before. However, he has the advantage of a source that no one else gets.

Depends on reshaping the mix and opening some cap space, but they supposedly aren't wowed by the likely UFA crop this summer (after the inevitable preemptive resignings of players such as Ehrhoff).

All fair points. I have no clue if he's right, of course; I just thought I'd pass it along.
I can think of two times in the past year where Flyers players have appeared fine right after games and then missed a week or more with leg injuries. Simmonds in the last week of camp, and Rinaldo a year ago.

I actually like Kindl. He's a 4/5 guy that can QB the 2nd PP unit. Babcock hates him because he needs to compete more or something. |

One of the best lines in cinema history is from Up in Smoke. Stellar!
When they get pulled over by the cop, and he says. "License"
Cheech responds with "isn't it back there on the bumper man"
Played a drinking game in HS, watch up in smoke and every time they say man, drink. - PLindbergh31
that pic is actually from still smokin', and specifically the reference to "the poliiiiice! i have all your albums." love that movie. so gddamn funny.

Haha, we've got plenty of guys who are high on compete level and low on everything else. Let's swing a deal.

i hate this for mason, but if it helps us land a higher pick then so be it.
let's zepp it up. - hammarby31
We share the same zepposition on the matter. Higher pick, better in the long run, and Zeppmeister gets to live the dream a while longer. |

When Giroux was a question mark Rinaldo practiced on the first line. Now that Mason is hurt, does Rinaldo get a look in net? |

The Flyers really don't have to negotiate with Del Zotto, they hold the cards. He is basically already signed for next season. |
