When who goes ? Sedin? Or are talking about RNH ?
- Jeropotato

Sedin, unless they want to keep him until he's Jagr's age. RNH I don't think is going anywhere soon.

So how did that soft POS Sedin become one? or is he not? No one in the league softer than sedin?
- Oilfan19

Henrik became a #1 centre after he won these

You don't win both of these in a single season by being a soft POS. I can now understand why you're an oil fan. You obviously don't know poop about hockey.

I think Klef will finish the year with Higher grades than what I gave him. I was harsh on him because his first few games weren't as rock solid has his last few. He has been getting really good, really fast. It's quite impressive actually.

I am very high on Petry this year. By my eye and by Number I judge his play as very very good, but that's as high a mark as he gets without adding more offense.

Nuge is the best player on the team and has taken the most faceoffs for the Oilers. He leads their offense and added Even strength scoring to his bag of tricks. I have been impressed with him all year. I really like what he's done and if he starts scoring on the PP then he goes Supernova.

I could have been harsher on Nuge but he has actually impressed me most nights.

- Matt_Henderson

I think you're just high

Petry has been OK at best. As I said makes tons of mistakes and horrible giveaways. And can't hit the net. IMO he's a good #3 guy but he's not a top pairing guy.

Your in that sticky situation where you wanna ride out the sedins and see if they can do it but trading them now would be huge for your team. I wouldnt trade em because they are still producing though.
- Oilfan19

Can't trade them NTC's, hey hang on...most of the team has those!!! There is a gap there that would fix itself any time soon. I need a drink.

I think Yaks problems mostly stem from confidence but the fact that Nelson came in and dropped him from 14 minutes a night under Eakins to 12 and halved his pp time is kind of telling where management views him right now.

Sorry for being a grump earlier. Just because I'm having a poopty day at work doesn't give me a right to be a Richard to others.

- Dangles13

I agree, and IMO Eakins ruined his confidence the way he treated him the minute he got here, it's up to him to turn it around though, the team can't give him his confidence back, but they can put him in the best possible situation to try and turn it around.

How a rookie can lead a team in goals then come into the next season and play less than 5 minutes the opening night blows my mind, in what world and in what situation does that make any sense whatsoever?

what really annoys me about the advance stats lovers is shooting percentage. yakupov is not having a bad season because of an unlucky low shooting percentage he is having a bad season because he has no confidence. he passes the blue line shoots from the top of the circle yet its unlucky his shooting percentage is supposed to stay at his career average of 11.3. maybe if he had the confidence to carry the puck to the slot and shoot his percentage would be closer to 10 or 15% not an abysmal 5%. what's the league average shooting percentage of an un screened shot from the top of the circle any ways? if the oilers cant pump some confidence into yak he is in serious trouble of being one of the great draft busts

I think Nuge will be every bit as good as mr.Sedin when he hits his prime, it's a fair comparable. You can disagree if you want, I doubt anyone really gives a poop.
- Jeropotato

I know we like to give each other a hard time but RNH has done nothing to suggest that he'll be as good as H Sedin. Nothing. That's just oiler fanboy talk. Oil fans think player potential = guaranteed success.

That's why the majority of oil fans are so shocked and disappointed within a month of the season's start. Can't believe their team isn't contending now. Start achieving before claiming them as stars.
