Nuge fights like a girl - VanHockeyGuy
He fights at least It just pisses me off when people suggest nuge isnt a #1. He's a #1 on the bare minimum 50% of the nhl. |

I know, if it was up to me the Canucks roster would be loaded with good Canadian boys.

I know we like to give each other a hard time but RNH has done nothing to suggest that he'll be as good as H Sedin. Nothing. That's just oiler fanboy talk. Oil fans think player potential = guaranteed success.
That's why the majority of oil fans are so shocked and disappointed within a month of the season's start. Can't believe their team isn't contending now. Start achieving before claiming them as stars. - bloatedmosquito
I think he has done plenty. His point per game numbers suggest he should continue to improve towards a nice 75-90 points a year in his prime. Not Crosby numbers but a solid top line Center production. Again, he hasn't done it yet, but I think it's just as silly to say he won't as it is to guarantee he will. Time will tell but there's no need to panic and say we made the wrong pick.even if he doesn't it's comforting to know we have LD in the system to one day have a two Pronged attack if the both top out at around 60 points, which is reasonable. |

In his 21 year old season Henrik went 82GP 16-20-36
RNH has 25 points and its only the 41 game mark of the season. He's the 1C of a team and holding his head above water against a stacked Western Conference.
Youre right, he hasn't shown he'll be as good as Sedin. He's shown he'll be better. - Matt_Henderson
OK, but is that apples to apples? I think you are refering to Henrik's 2002 -2003 season. If so then Henrik was not on the first line or the first PP unit. He was bounced between the 2nd and 3rd lines with his brother and Trent Klatt on wing.
Now compare that to RNH's minutes (reg an PP) and also campare quality of linemates. Not a fare comparison is it? |

and it's looking like we'll be adding McDavid or Eichel.
then we can put LD on the lw
a top six of Hall-Nuge-Eberle and LD-McDavid/Eichel-Yakupov looks pretty good to me
Hopefully Yakupov can turn it around |

Sedin is a soft POS. And Nuge has better numbers than him without having a telekinectic brother.. - Oilfan19
The season when he won the Hart and Art Ross, his brother only played 60 games. His achievements that year had little to do with his brother. |

Im not comparing his 30 years old season with nuge. Im saying at the point nuge is in his career. Jesus. |

Henrik became a #1 centre after he won these
You don't win both of these in a single season by being a soft POS. I can now understand why you're an oil fan. You obviously don't know poop about hockey. - bloatedmosquito

Comparing what they did as 21 year olds is one thing, over a 15 year career is another. How long will RNH play and how durable will he be? Injuries also play into it. I'm ok with the math, you just can't compare the two at this point in time. - VanHockeyGuy
People call henrik a soft POS all the time but he's 6th on the all time consecutive games played list (500+ games playes).
Peope who call henrik a soft POS don't understand what toughness means. |
