oh poop! my (married into the family) Aunt is (frank)ing booshie. Self-entitled pretentious female dog. fake diseases, fake surgery/operations, think matching pink fuzzy outfits are still "fashionable" and has an ungodly loud mouth.

And that part of my family spent 14 years in Calgary. My uncle and their oldest daughter are wicked cool, but the aunt and their youngest daughter are the kind of people i hate.

Calgary is an overpriced Hell hole full of Donkeys who think they're in Beverly Hills Financed to the nutz trying to keep up with the Joneses. It's not a friendly city at all compared to Edmonton.

Right now its more on the higher side. There is a huge shortage of rental properties in the downtown and inner city. Lots of new projects tailored around rental buildings are going up now to try and meet the demand.

Big issue of what is driving up the prices on condos is long term stay executive suite companies are snatching them up all in pre-sales. When Oil&Gas companies are putting up guys flying up from Houston on these places for 1500 bucks a week, the next big condo being built, prices go up, these companies are buying them up still, and the oil and gas companies are still paying the bills for them.

my friends had to buy a place in order to survive. They had an ok rental near the saddledome but it was smaller and more expensive than the expensive place they had downtown toronto!

The city doesnt like Hotel proposals in the downtown and they shoot them down all the time. Developers are getting around this by building condos and selling them to these companies. Its greasy but its the citys planning department who are to blame for that.

Which really sucks when people are trying to come here for meetings and end up having to stay out in the NE because hotels downtown are all either booked or exhorbitently priced

Why can't this city do a multi functional building like other places?

Have retail, residential and hotel all in one high rise.
