a B means they are an average NHL player in their role...i think 50-55 pts for the roles those players are in is probably fairly close to the league average. I dont think its crazy to give them those grades - Eberle is 18th in RW scoring which puts him pretty close to league average for 1st line RW and Nuge is 37th in scoring for C so he'd drop to a C i think.

Eberle took a B- which I rate as below average. He's still a good player, he just hasn't produced enough per his standards.

Nuge I rated as above average based largely on his Even Strength scoring prowess and the fact that he is the best overall player on this team. His inability to add on the PP prevents him from being Exemplary so far this year.

There are tons of top line players with only 50 pts...

And i just posted their position relative to other players in their position which isnt even entirely accurate because there are several C's and RW's from the same team. If i just took one from each team their positions would be 17th for Eberle which is very close to the middle of the pack and nuge to like 23rd which would earn him a C.

we were progressing under other coaches along an acceptable level considering how young our core was and how bad our depth was, progressing on all counts, until he got here. Now every single player has regressed at every single level with a far better team on paper and an older and stronger core.

He ruined Yakupov as well, hopefully Nelson can save him.
