SCOREACEK!!!! - Jsaquella
Really nice win over a team that has been playing pretty well
Love watching them play well and, most importantly, win hockey games, though I realize that draft position is something some find more important

Have to be excited, but we can do this without Grossman. - jstross
Duct tape him up and put him back out there... WE NEED MARNER! |

Jake Voracek.
I'm waiting for the regression.

HA
Seriously though, this is three seasons now (including the lockout), he is a bonafide superstar in this league now.

They had no MacDonald & no Grossmann for most of game and played one of their best games of the season. - Jsaquella
Everyone stepped it up because their backs were against the wall with those guys missing and they all felt it.

See what happens when they play a decnet defensice game? Mason doesn't have to face 8 billion shots. Flyers deserved this win with the effort they put forth tonight |

Nope. I get the Grossmann love. He's an easy guy to root for. He works his ass off. He plays through pain. He's a warrior. He's also lost a step or two, and was never more than average with the puck. - Jsaquella
This could be and we shall see.
I'm more concerned about how well they looked without #47.

Good win. I swear this team plays better and with more passion when they are facing better teams.
Also dor good measure Maclean on sportsnet says before the game that one of the flyers problems is inconsistent goaltending. Sigh. |

He's been a fancy stats god going on three seasons now... this is him regressing to his natural mean.

No, you don't get it.
Ryan Lambert assured me in October that he'd regress.

YOU didn't say things like that.
I'm more making fun of something I read on Puck Daddy by Ryan Lambert, who casually mentioned that Voracek would regress.
My only thought was that this is who we hoped he'd be and I wasn't that surprised, but I wanted to respect the numbers.
Voracek has basically gone HAM this year. |

Biggest key to the game tonight was the strong play of the Couturier line. If they can get that line going consistently, that will be huge for the Flyers. |

I think he's for real and will finish top 5 in the league barring injury. He doesn't ever seem to take a shift off. Skates his ass off all the time and battles like crazy. |

ah, trade him because of his salary, trade Schultz because he'd probably bring the best return at this point. Happy we won two in a row, but it's a mirage. |

Ryan Lambert - johndewar
Well there you go, lol.
Sad that Harrison Mooney is the one who turned out to be the snake off the ice and got ousted... it should have been Lambert. |

I don't think the Flyers would get much for Schultz.

Math is cruel for them -- they could play pretty well these last 40 games and still pick Top 10-12, at best |

Watching him assert himself with the puck....when he's carrying it through the neutral zone into the offensive zone with his head up.....is ALOT of fun, because I've only seen good things when he does it.
It only makes room for Claude and Claude has done nothing but elevate his game this year. Especially in the dot. |
