IMO Varone is a career AHL'er. - sbroads24
yeah, you could be right...but 11 nhl games for a guy who lead the amerks in points two of three seasons and was leading them again before this call up seems like an awful small sample size |

enroth did have value now he has none ..
should of moved him when he was hot - gerbe75pts
Enroth still has some value, just nothing worth writing home about. |
I feel like he's gets called under rated to the point where he's now over rated.
I like Flynn a lot, and could actually see him traded in a package to a team for depth - gerbe75pts
i'm not going to cry if that happens ..
i can't wait for all the bums to be off this team Drew Stafford etc..
this has to be it for Stafford right ? i have been hoping to trade him for 3 years now lol
was surprised he was second on the team in points and assists before his injury

I've said it and I still stand by it: the reason for the 10-3 run was goaltending. It was stellar. Now that it's back down to earth, the team has shown its true colors. - buffalofan19
This is how a lot of bad teams go on runs.
They also played better defensively as a team.
Now with all of the shuffling out of the lineup it's a mess again. |

If Varone is a faster Luke Adam, in the respect that they're quality AHL players, I think Varone has a chance to be an NHLer by his mid to late 20's. Adam just doesn't have the speed to be here. He was a 5th rounder after all and the Sharks had no interest in making him a part of their system. Now, he has to show progress in his game. Time will tell. He's paid his dues for a long time, I hope he gets a chance to be a part of a scoring third line in the future. |

"Tim Murray held onto the Islanders' pick, Neuvirth and Stewart for too long, it seems. This would be a hash tag just saying"- tweet from matt coller
Idk how i feel about this tweet. He followed up saying how we "knew" the islanders were going to be good and shouldve traded the pick earlier.
I think at this point you just stock pile as many picks as you can and go from there

We can't be stripping this team of quality vets they brought in specifically for intangibles. They're all here to usher in our future. I know Gorges isn't a top line defenseman but if I were to trade him, I'd want overpayment. He serves a great role back there. |

Coller's opinions are mostly..erm... off base or radical. First of all, no one on this planet saw the Islanders as a top team. No one. I'm still glad we have that pick. I don't think they're built for the playoffs but we'll see. Halak hasn't been good yet. Stewart, yeah I would have flipped him immediately. If Murray is actually overcharging for him, you have to wonder why. Maybe just doing what any bargainer does and starts out high. I can't imagine he has a place on this team past this season, so his asking price will undoubtedly decline towards the deadline, and we'll get a 2nd rounder for him and be done with it. |

Dave Davis @DaveDavisHockey
Today on Calgary radio, Friedman discussed Stewart's problems in Buffalo & said potential trade partners are getting "scared away" from him.
Dave Davis @DaveDavisHockey
Stewart does have 8 points in his last 12 games, but this team is so bad that I doubt that pace is sustainable.

I didn't say you were, the Wild have pieces they can move for Enroth if they really wanted him. IMO, I would take Nino for him straight up but that's just me talking. |

you might want to add, imo, a first line that was putting up a bevy of points, a real second line and a top-four on defense that was formidable...
not to take away from stellar goaltending |
