Zuburis as well - hubie
Zubris was a beast in that Islander series before he got hurt. He did come back but he looked like a shell of himself after that. I actually liked him a lot. |

The Rochester Americans are the second worst team in the AHL. What the hell? I would think our team rebuild would at least be evident in the AHL. Do you guys think this is a sign of trouble? I do. |

Not really, AHL is usually just a collection of NHL has beens. As long as individual players who are supposed to be part of the future are performing well and continuing to grow ( McCabe, Armia etc.). The actual results of the team are inconsequential. Most of the "good" AHL teams are made up of fringe NHLers, aka the Mark Mancari's of the world. |

This. The only thing I care about right now on either team is the development of the kids. From that perspective I think things are going very, very well. |

Not at all, We just got the first wave of this (#1) prospects class to reach the amerks. Pysyk McCabe, Grigo, Armia. Detroit is the best to model after and yes thats a stretch but until the rest of these prospects that we all hear about (Fasching, Compter, Bailey) arrive you cant look that far into it. With depth you dont have to rush prospects like Nyquist, tatar which can give you an immediate impact when they are called up preventing the Fourth line fillers
Also were an extremely young team lacking vets. Currently Matty (Franking) Ellis is the only one in that role. It's easy to forget that the AHL is still a mans league. A little structure, seasoning and goaltending and we're golden. |

That's true. I think wave #2 will be when we see drastic improvement. |

Denver fans don't want Manning back even though he played the last month with a torn quad muscle...
Get him to come here for the year and work on developing the QB of the future...
Just a thought...okay a dream |

Absolutely. There had to be a reason that he looked so bad all of the sudden. |

He would have come here when he was a FA last time. We also had more than fair shots and Farve and a younger Vick. Old Bills sucked at life. I would take him for one year. |

To be fair this Bills team is ready the 2011 team was not (or whatever year it was)
The Bills D is dominate and he has Watkins, Woods would be turned into an All Pro, and Chandler would look like Gronk... |

People forget how good of a defender ol Zhitnik was.
Couldn't hit the broad side of the barn with his shot unless it was his teammates ear. - dadeadhead
Miss that guy. We used to "Zhitnik" body check each other into the lockers in high school. It was fun. |

no. - theblueandgold
He puts up good numbers for a TE that doesn't have a QB...
Averages 10 yards a catch and caught almost 50 balls...get him a QB and he would be better than average |

As long as the players who are supposed to be the best on the team continue to do so, we're fine.
Makarov, Armia, Grigs, Pysyk, McCabe, etc. are all having good seasons, and a couple surprises in Schaller Varone (only because he's not ever mentioned in our top prospects) |

I can seldom think of when its not a good time to have a QB named Manning on your team.
That's in the past. I doubt we get a great franchise QB this season. But it will be interesting to see what Pegula is able to do when opportunities present themselves. |

On the Wild...
According to a few NHL sources the Minnesota Wild are "growing more and more intrigued and interested" by Jonas Enroth. I am a big Enroth supporter and agree he would be a great fit in Minnesota. He doesn't lose you games and won't let in many bad goals...but what's more he keeps his team close and can have spectacular moments....
Per Ek...
His source must be Garth. - jochfr
Headlines: Wild could add goaltender via trade
Damien Cox and Elliotte Friedman touched on the Wild’s goaltending problems during this week’s edition of “Headlines” on Hockey Night in Canada, noting that the club may target a solution in goal via trade.
Names that have come up frequently as the Wild look to solidify their goaltending for the stretch run include Cam Ward of the Carolina Hurricanes and both Jhonas Enroth and Michal Neuvirth of the Buffalo Sabres.
