Zepp is UNDERDOG
Everyone fights harder for the 33 year old guy, not making millions who finally gets a few shots in the bigs. When there is nothing else to play for except personal pride, that is a motivator. Giroux probably makes more in a year than this guy made in 12-15 years as a pro easy. Probably pays more in taxes than he made most of his carrer
That being said, if they really wanted a better draft choice they could bypassed Zepp and Stolarz and gone way down in the farm system to Connor Knapp in the ECHL who is under Flyers AHL/ECHl shuttle contract. The score would have been reversed.

Yeah, the Flyers played well, the Lightning certainly had one of their worst games of the year, too boot.
Bolts also missed a couple of wide open looks that could have easily resulted in goals.
Flyers didn't make many mistakes, though. One thing that stood out, they didn't have many-or any icings. The Flyers are usually good for 7-10 a game. |
