Shanahan on TSN Drive on Friday regarding Carlyle firing: "I was deeply involved in the decision to let Randy go."

"it's something we were discussing for a couple of weeks even during the winning streak, we didn't like the direction we were going."

One of our wingers is going to be traded very soon. Nylander will be helping to fill the depth chart at wing for the remainder of this season. Move could involve Lupul.
- Seitch2

I think you will see just a few players called up on a revolving basis, Bodie, McKegg, Leivo, Frattin, Kozun and Carrick. Brown, Nylander and Bibeau will stay down.

Nylander will be playing Center as well. At least while we have Carrick and Smith up

We should recall Andrea Johnson too, new top Marlie line

Johnson - Nylander - Brown.

Not bad not bad

It's actually smart. The prospects who are on the bubble get cups of coffee to see whether they will sink or swim in the big time, while the ones we have the highest hopes for stay put and season until they are overripe

It's almost like they have some kind of *gasp* development model in place!

Yep that is the way I see it. I personally like to see Carrick with the permanent 4th line centre role for the rest of the season, start grooming him for it now. He has a lot of grit, can skate and has some offence in him.

I concur. He's pretty well the ideal guy for that job

Well that's good. I hope he can play C.

When I went to the SWE v RUS game he often took a verrrrry long time to find his own zone. Hoping he can clean that up and find some defense. (Granted that that was one game of course)

He's definitely more of an offensive guy. Will be interesting to see if anyone can get him to play 200 feet

Until Goatch gets here to rightfully assume his role as 4th line C for the next 20 glorious years.

That was some article by Joke Todd. It read like a creative writing assignment: "Write an article about Subban and Pacioretty's absence from the All Star game from the perspective of a 12 year old Habs fan."
