It was classy of the Flyers to allow Luke Schenn to fly out to LA to participate in the ceremony.

Luke will be giving a 7 minute speech on his memories of being an over-hyped Leafs 1st round pick, only to have his career destroyed by improper skills development by the Leafs (i.e., not by the Marlies).

I can't wait for the Sportsnet cameras to zoom in on Rielly during the speech.

Schenn: "Once upon a time, I was known as the Human Eraser - I could do no wrong in Leafs fans' eyes. The hype was overwhelming, and I drank it in like Stee drinks beer for breakfast. Of course, the pendulum swings both ways, and in Toronto, it swings hard.

Today, as I have ample time to reflect on my career from the Philadelphia press box, I look back on my time in Toronto and wonder what could have been.

So that is why I'm glad to pass the torch tonight to William Nylander. As I fade into the collective memories of Leafs fans, joining other busts such as Jim Benning, Nik Antropov and the illustrious 1989 troika from Belleville, I take comfort in knowing that I won't be the focal point of drunken bar talk anymore.

That terrible burden will now fall on the tiny, pixie-like shoulders of William Nylander.

Thank you."

I can't believe you are still going on about this.

He's on the Marlies, no comprende?

What would you have done different? Left him on a poopty team in Sweden or let him learn the North American game on a team that's currently on the upswing?

At what level must Noolander produce at in the AHL so we don't call him a bust?

Eg. anything under .75ppg is a bust?

Leave him where he's playing top line minutes and not burning a year of his ELC... If I had a vote.

Nylander needs to grow more befriend he ever sees the NHL. He hasn't done that yet.
Not like he was gonna get worse playing in Sweden

i dont think you can call a guy with 465 career NHL points a "bust," unless you're talking about Antropov or Ponikarovsky.

@ the location.

Personally, I prefer putting the hopes of Leaf Nation on those pixie-like shoulders rather than balancing on Kadri's snorting straw.

The Swedish bust is coming.
- Yeti1181

A little respect please

Anita Ekberg, star of La Dolce Vita, has died aged 83.

A former Miss Sweden, she was branded a "sex goddess" for her performance in Federico Fellini's 1960 movie.

The moment where she wades through Rome's Trevi Fountain in a strapless dress is considered one of cinema's most iconic scenes.

Ekberg died in Rome on Sunday morning, her lawyer confirmed. She had been in hospital since Christmas following a series of illnesses.

The actress had been in a wheelchair for several years after being knocked down by one of her pet Great Danes, breaking a hip.

Born in Malmo, Sweden, in 1931, Ekberg was the sixth of eight children.

She said her father, a harbour master and a strict Protestant, was "the apple of my eye", although she later fell out with all but one of her siblings.

After winning the Miss Sweden title at the age of 20, she travelled to America where she took part in the Miss Universe contest.

Although she didn't win and spoke very little English, she was immediately signed to a contract by Universal Pictures.

The studio sent her to work in Italy, where she played Henry Fonda's unfaithful wife in King Vidor's War and Peace (1956).

No, not you

It was funny, in the same way that watching someone bicycle into a phone pole is funny. The child in you is mildy amused, but you're cringing nonetheless
