Based on the speed of the hands (read: lackthereof) I saw at the tourney this year, that's wishful thinking. - 1979AD
he's going to play on the marlies for at least 2 or 3 years first.. stop judging these kids so young |

Which is my point with leaving him in Sweden. Kid has to grow. No rush to get him to NA.
Only benefit here is it makes it easier to rush him. |

Let him play between Orr and McLaren. They wouldn't dare touch him! - PrinceLH
that's because he'd never have the puck. |

i think you missed the whole point of me saying it was to allow him to start to develop chemistry with brown and other leaf prospects.
its a shift in attitude leaf fans wont be familiar with.. the team comes before the player.
this will help the leafs in the long run.. ELC be damned. |

Read my post again. As far as I know, he is under the amount of games so it doesn't burn a year. Wasn't this covered back on like page 3 or something? - TheThrill

got to develop every role if you wanna build a winner - Dozzer
Yes, but generally speaking, you shouldn't be developing your 3rd-line scrubs with 1st round picks.
And by the way, you are still in my bad books for saying something complimentary about Nik Antropov. |

Excusez-mois, chevalier blanc de Gauthier. How old does a prospect have to be before you can start judging their skills? Is Biggs fair game yet?
edit: also, is not saying he'll be 2nd line C a judgment? How can you do that when he's so young? |

In the Leafs' defence, it sounds like this move was done because his Swedish team is an absolute poop-show right now. |

Back reading and realized ELC threshold is 40 games... So I am no fine as (frank) wih this move
Thought it was 25 games, but think that is just rookie status in NHL

that so?
lets take a look at some of the best 3rd line centres in the NHL
J. Stoll: 36th overall (6 out of the 1st round)
S. Ott: 25th overall
B. Sutter: 11th overall
S. Couturier: 8th overall
gotta say wedgie.. some of the best 3rd line centres in the league kind of fly right in the face of your logic on this one. |

Whats left to do in the SHL? play for a poopty team thats going to be regulated? Team sucks, their best players are kids, nothing more to learn there. Its time take the next step to the AHL, learn the system and the teammates, at least he has some protection with the Marlies and the 4 or 5 goons they have. Plus way easier to monitor the kid when he plays in the next rink over |
