I was so hungover yesterday...


Saturday night, me and a buddy decided to tie one on.... so we each bought a 24 and started drinking around 6:30pm.... watched his Habs lose to the Pens, ate copious amounts of chicken wings and jammed out tunes all night (blisters from the drum sticks)... it wasn't until 6am rolled around and we realized we were completely out of beer...

24 bottles of beer and several pounds of chicken wings... don't smell as good the next day!!!

But he had an ounce of fight in him and work out in the off season instead of saying he barely thought about hockey...people might get off his back.
Also, if he was the number two guy on the leafs, people would complain less. But he's the main guy on the team. Which isn't his fault. Nonis needs to get a real number center for him

Yeah, in truth he should just provide the usual athlete comments and not give anyone anything to jump on.

The second point is key. The Leafs don't have that group of three or four or five players who are as good or better than Kessel, or as good but a different style of player. Like Kopitar/Doughty/Kane/Quick or Toews/Hossa/Kane/Keith etc. Kessel is at least in the echelon of those players, but he doesn't have anyone else at his level to help.
