Eskin tweeted Coburn out a month, broken right foot - Jsaquella
How does he have a broken right foot when he blocked the shot with his left foot? This is horrible. Now we really can't trade him |

Flyers could still trade Coburn (if so inclined and he waives his NTC). He'd still be back well ahead of the playoffs plus his contract still has one more season to run.

If they decide to shop Coburn-big IF, too-His injury probably will have no impact on the value. |

I hope not. It looks like they wouldn't have dealt him until TDL anyway.
I still want a first for him |

The coaches changed the PK to be far more aggressive this season and it has been a total disaster. The opposition get wide open passing lanes all the time and the Flyers are now 30th in the league. |

Flyers current PK is 74%.
The 1992-93 Ottawa Senators that went 10-70-4 had a 75% PK. |

I don't know how the coaches changed the PK to be far more aggressive. One of the biggest problems with the PK that I see, is that they are far too passive a lot of times. |

Can't believe Evgeni Nabokov is still in the NHL. He's god awful. There have to be better back-up options out there. |

Was going to say the same thing: I don't see enough sticks and bodies in the passing lanes, traffic cleared in front or shots challenged up high. The box tends to get static and a step behind the puck rotation.

I don't remember last year the forwards playing this dynamic coverage scheme where one will follow the puck at the top of the umbrella at times. |

Weak sticks and weak on the puck, failed clears, standing still allowing easy plays to be made. |

Nice balanced attack last night with only four skater not getting points. |

Not really dynamic. It's a simple 1-1-2 formation. |

The failed clears are the worst. You know its bad when you can get drunk off a "failed clear" drinking game.
And it does stem from them being too static, not moving their feet and getting beaten to the puck or not allowing themselves time to get good stick on the puck, because they are being pressured.
They get better at capitalizing on their clears, the PK would increase by 10-15% |
