Not at all.
Remicade is a monoclonal antibody. TNF alpha inhibitor. Prednisone is just your normal steroid.
Her issue is autoimmune. Gonna need something a little more specialized than a steroid, ya know? - Giroux_Is_God

Not at all surprised by that. Makes sense with how poor of a season he has had.

It's the molecule that makes your immune response happen after a bad guy is found.
TNF alpha gets pooped out by a WBC that finds an immunogen which makes its metabolism jump and also attracts more WBCs. Then positive feedback happens. All of them poop out TNF alpha, which supercharges them, and attracts more.
Rinse and repeat. |

Read said himself that He wasn't getting to the scoring areas and didn't blame the injury. The player has to be better. He wouldn't play at all if he knew he wouldn't be effective |

I can't see how it wasn't an injury. The only other thing I was considering is some off ice thing, like what Briere and Hartnell dealt with.
Also, I believe I need to own that Bob MacKenzie book referenced in the article. I've heard nothing but good things about it. |

agreed, his injury couldn't possibly have negatively affected his play

That splains a LOT. High Ankle sprains are worse than breaking a leg In my opinion. Im amazed he could play at all.

hes a solid player. hes not going to blame the injury. you should want guys that want to be out there if they can lace up their skates. he may have had a harder time getting to the scoring areas because his speed was very likely hindered. |

most of us (I think) knew something was wrong and were willing to give Read credit for the player he has been here the past few years. He is having a tough season though. |

Agreed. I'm sure Read doesn't even want the injury made public, because it sounds like an excuse for his poor play. A high ankle sprain can keep an athlete out for a month +. I like Read a lot. He hasn't played well this year, but he is a solid player. |

Explains a lot. Goes to show just how important Read is to the hockey team.
Now shut him down for a while...maybe the rest of the season, I don't care. |

The situation with Peyton Manning is ridiculous. He went out and poop himself against the Colts Sunday, then it's announced the next day he's playing with a torn quad. No one wants to hear it. He's been one and done in the playoffs 9 times in his career. 8 of those times his team was favorite to win the game.
He's probably the best regular season QB of the last 25 years, but does he ever poop the bed in the playoffs. |

Yeah, some players get a high ankle sprain and miss half the season. |

9 points for Sid in his last 5 games. Coming out of that slump it seems. He's assisting on goals at his career average but his goals per game are way down. Just a matter of time before he starts finding the back of the net and runs away with the Art Ross. |
