That's too bad - the planets were not aligned here tonight - unlike Monday when everything went Philly's way. - Pixote Andolini
the end of that game was (frank)ing preposterous. i hate everyone. |

this game was infuriating. they deserved better. they really did. - hammarby31
Came out playing like poop. Caps are good defensively. Flyers have allowed the first goal in 2/3 of their games. They're just not a good team |

Honestly, this was a good game. I'm extremely disappointed with the result but both teams played well. I think Washington is gonna win the Cup this year. They're well balanced, well coached and if they play like they did tonight while scoring in bunches, I don't see who can beat them. A lot of good teams out there but some of them are only regular season teams. |

No, what you said earlier was that Streit is 4th in the NHL defenseman scoring race, therefore he's the current favorite for the Ashbee.
That basis the award on stats alone, which we both know isn't true. - 77rams
If a discussion is to be had on who is the Flyers best defenseman this year, and who in my opinion is the favorite at this point, to win the Ashbee award, reasoning has to be given. That Streit is having such as strong year offensively is the reason why I think he is the favorite. The stats just support that opinion.

yeah. i would have a hard time leaning anyone other than streit right now.
either him, or actually give some consideration to nick schultz. he has been better than what was expected for sure, but overall i just think its been streit. |

I wish he were more diligent defensively. The goal tonight was on him. |

In my opinion they did. Colaiacovo wasn't very good, but in fairness, it's his first game in a long time.

I think Grossmann has been our best defenseman this season. |

Berube has had this team playing responsibly on a night in and night out basis. I don't agree with his personnel decisions most times but I like how he's got them playing. |

Have to give a ton of credit to the Caps. They aren't the poor defensive team of the past. They check and position well in the neutral zone and didn't give them much time and space. It was hard fought competitive game. Have to score a goal to win most times. Bottom line, they played well, but still a loss.

I think its 50/50 that he's fired. I would make Babcock the highest paid coach in the league to come here. |

I agree, not because of the numbers he's putting up, but for the lack of any other d-man stepping up this year.
The fact that Schultz is even mentioned says a lot about the state of the backline. |

Niskanen laid the hit. Didn't look like a very damaging hit, just a solid one. |
